Underwear not mine

I am looking for some advice about what to do now please, as something doesn't make any sense. About a month ago I found a pair of knickers that weren't my size. I had managed to wash and dry them without noticing, it was only when I went to put them in the drawer that I noticed they weren't mine. Not my size. At the time I assumed that they had been my son's girlfriend's and that they had been somehow mixed up with his stuff. My son and his girlfriend had recently returned from a holiday so it seemed likely that is what had happened. I mentioned to DH that I had found a pair of knickers which I assume were her's.

I was waiting to see my son's girlfriend to ask her if they were her's. In the meantime, I had put them in my underwear drawer. She hasn't been round since then although I have seen her away from the house but I forgot to ask her if she had lost some underwear.

This weekend, I went away without DH. Putting away the washing today I notice that those knickers are nowhere to be seen in my underwear drawer.

There is categorically zero chance of my son going into my underwear drawer. I hadn't even told him about the knickers. The only other person who could have taken them is DH but then wouldn't that be a stupid thing to do as I had told him that I had seen them? What do I do now?

Could you ask your DH if he took the knickers out your drawer?

This, point blank ask him.

Horses7 · 07/08/2024 03:43

Hope you find out!

Did you pack them and use them yourself? You over looked them once. Maybe you have once more.

ThatsCute · 07/08/2024 04:47

Not sure if this has already been mentioned…maybe he ordered them from one of those seedy websites for pre-worn underwear and they accidentally got whisked into the laundry basket?

Something similar happened to a friend of mine. A year later she discovered they were the other woman’s.

Edingril · 07/08/2024 08:11

I have had some years ago, I lived alone and never got to the bottom of it

But are they really the right “ size”? Doesn’t it all get quite mooooshed?

You’ve never read some of the reviews of knickers in M&S website as to how it accommodates their giblets?

Well if I’ve seen a “ even accommodated the giblets and neck” review, I probably assumed it was a roasting or gravy pan review gone astray.

But it’s a lady penis & balls. Nothing to worry about.

Danbury · 07/08/2024 09:35

The most likely options.

You might have thought you had put them in the drawer but you put them somewhere else instead.

I don't think a man even know where to look for lost knickers unless a woman had asked him and had suggested to him that they might be in the same place as you keep your knickers. That man (either DH or DS) has then removed them.

They were originally placed in the wash-basket by someone else and now that same person has removed them from your drawer. Who has access to your home?

Sunnydiary · 07/08/2024 09:54

@PeppyBlueFinches you really need to ask sons GF.

Would the knickers fit her? Fit DH?

Danbury · 07/08/2024 09:56

I wouldn't ask son's GF. What if they aren't her knickers and then she becomes suspicious of her BF?

Exactly. Ask the son.

BobbyBiscuits · 07/08/2024 10:07

It's as if he knew if you showed them to sons gf she'd say they weren't hers. The only way to prevent you doing that was to remove them. And he looked for them, and could easily identify them. Were they 'sexy' type knickers, or more bog standard ones? Idk why that matters but I'd just imagine if it was a fetish it might be more likely to be the former? But you just need to ask the girl. Describe them to her if you have to!

PeppyBlueFinches · 07/08/2024 10:44

Thanks for all the suggestions.

I think I made a mistake as apparently I left them in DS's room, not in my drawer. I asked DS if GF had lost some underwear. He said he thought so and that he had given them to her.

Well I’m glad it wasn’t too lurid a scenario op!

JJathome · 07/08/2024 11:38

Clearly something is very wrong here, you obviously suspected your husband. Likely of bring a woman home for sex and she went home without her knickers and he then nicked them, and preferred to ask on here for advise rather than ask him. You spoke to your son before your husband.

personally I’d focus on that, either it speaks to significant marital problems or a mental health issue your side ie paranoia etc. even just thinking you put someone else’s knickers in your under wear drawer is odd.

OP originally thought they were DS's gf's knickers. If she thought that then it isn't strange at all that she put them in her drawer for safe-keeping is it? What thread have you been reading 😂

Ohdearyme72 · 07/08/2024 12:16

If they're the cotton belly- warmer type then I think you're ok. Anything racey..well who knows

The one that stopped… so she was trying to breathe more air into it! 🤣
