Longest you’ve gone without sex?

Since being an adult and sexually active obviously what’s the longest time you’ve gone without sex? I read another post where someone said they hadn’t had sex for 2 years and felt embarrassed by it and I was thinking that’s nothing 😂 it’s been 8 years for me (not through choice!) I imagine most people haven’t spent many years celibate? Am I wrong? What’s the longest period you’ve gone without sex? This is more aimed at single people rather than those in sexless relationships

When I was single .. not very long at all as I used to date quite a bit
but when I met dh he was religious (it was over a year)

Actually, as much as I love sex, it was the lack of hugs or any contact at all that really got me down.

3 months max, might’ve been 2.5 months.

Anytime I’ve been single, so almost three years I guess, and then the first 26 years of my life 🤣

Currently coming up to 4 years. I love being single but sex is the only thing I really miss.

About 8 months… that’s not to show off, I lost my virginity late (21) and stayed in too many relationships long past their expiry date.

Currently 2.5 years & I plan on it being a long time! I definitely feel like I attract more attention when I’m totally not interested😳

Nearly 20 years. Sex is overrated.

22 years. My husband has a health issue. I'm not bothered by it.... I suppose it depends on your definition of sex though?

Longest right now is over 6 months. But it has been extremely sporadic over the last decade or so.

I feel really touch starved and unwanted physically, all I’d like is someone kind who wants to take his clothes off, get into bed with me and touch me and have sex.

Married and about 12 years so far.

I went for about 2 years when I had come out of a LTR.

I literally just could not be arsed with men. I was working FT and studying PT so I didn’t have any free time really.

It was quite a stressful time without a fucking relationship to think of. I just could not be arsed 😂

11 years - sexless relationship, followed by a few years on my own.

Met someone through OLD last summer & got back in the saddle.

Have subsequently broken up but don't want to go that long again.

Back on the OLD again.......

Yes. For me the longest was 12 years (in a bad marriage). Currently 2.5 yrs, after my Partner died. I can't imagine being physical with anyone ever again.

About 10 years. Mid 20s - mid 30s. Truly sexless marriage!

About 2 years after break-up. Then on and off sex but a long dry spell for about 4 years. I couldn't bear it since I enjoy all aspects of intimacy. Took it upon myself to start dating again, so that I don't miss anymore of it.

Definitely more interested to hear from single people as I wonder if that is different? I can imagine and see why a lot of people go a long time in sexless marriages not wanting to break up family kids etc feel stuck in their situation but I think people that are single probably don’t go as long without sex? Just my suspicion

Best part of a year, while married, had a terrible pregnancy then a horrific birth, took me a while to get my head back in the game.
Tbh I never went longer than I wanted when single, but I was young. I've been with DH since I was 25.

7 years 3 months four days and six hours. Not that I've been counting hahaha
