Do you still fancy your DH after a long relationship

And if so, how long have you been together

OP posts:
KohlaParasaurus · 10/08/2023 16:45

Yes, after 20 years. He's 20 years older but none of the things I fancied about him back then have changed.

mumlovesvodka · 10/08/2023 16:51

Married 17 years this weekend

Still fancy him, but more than that he's my best friend

ExplodingCarrots · 10/08/2023 16:53

Still fancy him like hell ..together 16 years .

Aquamarine1029 · 10/08/2023 16:53

28 years together, 26 married, and still fancy him like mad.

FrenchandSaunders · 10/08/2023 16:58

No as I’m menopausal and dead from the waist down … if Tom Hardy jumped into my bed naked I’d turn him down.

It’s something I need to address as we’re only mid 50s and DH is still a very attractive man.

Lagershandy · 10/08/2023 17:04

Married 47 years and yes I do still fancy him and he still thinks I am something wonderful!

BreathingDeep · 10/08/2023 17:06

Absolutely yes, he has aged incredibly well, and still has the capacity to interest and surprise me. I love everything about him, and other than a brief spell of menopause-induced no libido, he's still incredibly fanciable.

F1ymetothetoon · 10/08/2023 17:08

Together over 26 years and if anything I fancy him more now than I did when we first met. He's aged beautifully and has a great strong physique - when we first met he was tall, skinny and with curtain hair like that bloke in the advert Grin

Toomanysquishmallows · 10/08/2023 17:20

Together 20 years, and I definitely still fancy him.

Not much :( But it looks like I'm in the minority.

Freedomfromguilt · 10/08/2023 17:40

Not really, he has morphed into his father. I feel as if I'm operating a day care facility for the elderly and I'm still in my 40's. I'm sure that he hasn't changed that much and that it's my tolerance levels that have altered. Married 25 years.

Paperbagsaremine · 10/08/2023 17:52

Yes, been together almost 40 years. It's a benign magic as both of us have sags and bags and wrinkles, but somehow it doesn't matter, and I'm not about to waste time wondering why!

sheeplikessleep · 10/08/2023 17:56

Together 28 years and yes. Not constantly looking at him thinking phwoah, but moments when he’s dressed up or his shirt sleeves are rolled up or he makes me laugh so much and his gorgeous smile and teeth.
But definitely different to the look at him and melt feeling when we met, less constant.

Tittyfilarious81 · 10/08/2023 17:58

Yes , been together 26 years and married 19 , I think he's gorgeous

PimpMyFridge · 10/08/2023 17:59

21 years and yes.
Libido has waxed and waned with life's fortunes as we've gone along, but we've always turned to each other for the answer, so the spark is still alive.

Noimaginationforaun · 10/08/2023 18:01

15 years, fancy him more than ever!

gwanmen · 10/08/2023 18:07

Oh come on! What you all actually think about your DHs when you're ..you-know? It fades.

blotchyredanditichy · 10/08/2023 18:17

39 years and counting. DH still IMHO hottest man in the world.

DixonD · 10/08/2023 18:18

17 years together and yes, definitely.

Im99912 · 10/08/2023 18:36

yes married 24 years next week
we met and married within 6 months of meeting 😂
still fancy him
still love him
he is my absolute rock or should I say cock 😂

whatsinanameeh · 10/08/2023 18:50

15 years with my DH...

I acknowledge he has gained about 10% of his weight (I have gained more, maybe size 14 to 18)

He has more beard, lots of grey hair

His hands are rougher, his face slightly wrinkled and always tanned from working outside

We don't always "get on", I always love him, but sometimes family/life challenges and personal politics mean we don't always like each other for a day or two

But I always fancy him...I am so attracted to him that truly another man has never caught my eye in those 15 years because I am so physically attracted to my DH and I know how great it is in bed with him and it is his attention I want

I'm really quite private so wouldn't tell friends this but I should probably tell DH, it's important to know really

TellySavalashairbrush · 10/08/2023 18:57

Not really. He had a beautiful head of hair 30 years ago and is now almost bald on top (but refuses to shave the sides to match) mind you I’m no oil painting either . I honestly struggle to notice that any man is attractive these days- thanks menopause .

Kishe · 10/08/2023 18:59

I would do but I get the impression he doesn’t fancy me anymore.

Sparkletastic · 10/08/2023 19:04

No. Never was really about that though.
