I have been seeing a married man for 4 years. He is obviously not happy at home. I need to end it but love him. Do I give him an ultimatum

also not much effort made in the story or replies - a few odd words, that's it.

It seems like a wind up post.

This man is using you, he will say whatever he thinks you want the hear, For 4 years you have wasted your life, believe me, he is not going to leave his wife, this affair is for his own ego, deep down I think you know this.
how do you think it would affect his wife if she found out, it she would probably be devastated. does he have children?. even if he moved in with you affairs always have problems, Guilt is always carried with you, so move on find a better life.

Yeah I've seen that stat before @Thisisworsethananticpated

It's so depressing and yet not remotely surprising. So many men are socialised to never want to put themselves out for anyone and to leave a situation when it stops 100 per cent benefitting them.

As for the OP, her situation 100 per cent benefits this man. No chance he'll be leaving his wife.

Also OP, when you say he stays out of "duty" you say that like it's a bad thing. Not sure what you expected tbh.

Very obviously a wind up. No one that genuinely has strong feelings about something replies with a single sentence. It’s just enough to keep the replies coming.
If it’s not, just give him an ultimatum. Tell him you are going to all his wife and send her screenshots of all your messages . Then you will see what is what .

It's sad that someone can be so silly as to make this up for a laugh. Even the username is irritating. I've reported it as a fake thread. Don't waste your time replying.
