What do you find attractive?

Light hearted question - a male friend just told me that he can get turned on just by hearing his girlfriend’s voice on the phone (in a normal conversation rather than anything sexy!)

This surprised me and led me to wonder if this was a common thing? What do you find attractive in someone apart from the obvious?

I love women with distinctive voices. Voice, southern accent, posh-ish. Teeth-long hair.

I do wonder how old some of the poster's partners are? Past 40 everyone's looks have gone downhill massively and ageing taken its toll (bar the exceptional few who have had jobs that have let kept them trim by proxy).

Voice and nice shoulders - not muscular ones, but I have a "type" when it comes to the shape - somewhat wide and square. Also I like big noses on men 😅

I'm almost 6ft. I broke up with my fella 3 weeks ago he was 6 ft 6. I love a tall man. I hope I meet one again.

Deal-With-It-Ability

I really like men who dress quite young, not in a weird way but have that relaxed DJ festival look about them, nice trainers, combats. I'm totally not like that and look very put together.

He's got to be extremely intelligent. Well-read, well-spoken, savvy, beautiful manners. These are the things that make me a bit flutter.

A big fat wallet and generous with it.

It usually comes down to eyes and mouth with me. But also a je ne sais quoi. A man who holds the gaze a bit longer. Agree about decent arms and in general an air of taking control but not controlling or arrogant

Men who can direct (without being controlling obviously) i.e. - make decisions on where we go or what to do.
A checked shirt on a broad torso with sleeves rolled up.
Good aftershave
Two day stubble
Not a lot of body hair (back and chest)
Gentle but firm in the bedroom department!

Someone who can talk. Which is ironic because I ended up with someone who doesn't! Love him, but it is a real real obstacle to my happiness that we can't get into it together over a bottle of wine about life the universe and everything. And that when I ask him what he's thinking, he says 'nothing much'. And that he never asks me what I'm thinking. Just feels like we're missing a lot.
