What do you find attractive?

Light hearted question - a male friend just told me that he can get turned on just by hearing his girlfriend’s voice on the phone (in a normal conversation rather than anything sexy!)

This surprised me and led me to wonder if this was a common thing? What do you find attractive in someone apart from the obvious?

I am told by DP and other lovely people it is my legs and bum even in late middle age!

I’m having a voice-crush on someone at the moment. Himself, not so much but ooh, his voice…

In general:
Kindness
Gentleness
Quiet confidence (not aloof arrogance)
Open body language

Visually:
Nice eyes
A well fitting pair of jeans that suit/flatter his body shape rather than being the latest fashion item

So, it would appear that my cursory glances at any male walking past are; eyes - crotch

Why have I only just realised this???

I like a nice firm bum on a man. I like men who are handsome but a bit quirky as well. Evan Peters makes me nearly pass out. And I also get turned on by accents, if a man I like has a different accent to me it can really do it for me.

Understated confidence, wit, intelligence, class, skill at things, manners. No beard. Not over-groomed. Blue eyes a bonus.

I have had men get turned on from hearing my voice and I have felt turned on from a few men's voices before. There is a certain type that sounds sexy without trying they could breathe or sigh or pronounce a word in a certain way and it's like a switch!

The most 'niche' thing I'm attracted to in men that I can think of right now is.... when a man opens his mouth really widely to take a big bite of say, a messy burger and he looks drunk on the enjoyment of food not afraid of getting messy not talking about needing to run or spend time in the gym to burn it off, just eating it like it's the last supper appreciatively. I don't mean scoff like a pig I mean, if a little sauce on the corner of his mouth or chin it's fine and he makes effort to be neat but he just loves it too much. I wouldn't want a man who is self conscious about eating in front of others or constantly thinking about macros. I love a man who really really enjoys his food. I'm sure I'm not alone in this....I'm a feeder so I'd rather he likes eating than compete with me for space in the kitchen.

Other random

• soaking wet from rain or shower, hair dripping, lips red and wet. I don't care for soaked from swimming.
• Smoke coming out of his mouth outdoors on a cold day. I hate smoking or vaping though
• Prominent Adam's apple that bobs up and down when he talks and if his sternal notch is prominent ooof!
• Putting on and taking off gloves...........medical, leather, gardening, whatever...
• I like men in leather, like full biker. It's usually a thing men like to see women in, but I like men in leather.

Maybe unusual this one because the usual suspects are Irish, French, Italian, Russian, Cockney and Scottish. But I really love a Yorkshire/Lancashire accent.
Love a white shirt, rolled sleeves and blue jeans.

Crooked teeth

Lovely forearms.
A prominent nose.
A nice back and shoulders. .

Men who are very good dancers. I find that hard to resist.

Forearms and hands. If I can imagine them on me then yeh I’m turned on already. Short beards or stubble. Never used to like it but it’s definitely grown on me. Sometimes a guy can just look at you and you’re like ‘woah’ not that any of this happens to me anymore cos I’m old and married 😭

My DH is tall. I always notice tall men, even out of the corner of my eye, it’s like a spider sense. Tall men make me feel a bit giddy.😍

@quitelikelyto @EarthSight oops. I never even spotted that. I like a good bum on a man but he has to smell like he’s been under a car all day was kind of what I meant.

Tall, bearded, funny with a lovely twinkle in their eye.
Long hair, or messy hair. Musical & bookish.
Large build, mainly ginger men.

Women I like piercings, tattoos and love handles with full lips.

Confidence and a pert backside

Physically - I found with my DH it was his forearms, and his stomach area, that I found myself attracted immediately to…he’s very strong (though slim) and you can see that strength even now after all his decades of outside work.
Other than that, I found him being comfortable to cry at poignancy attractive and his ability to make me feel cherished just by looking at me.
I really do adore him.
