Just walked in on husband masturbating

Hello, please help me with advice. After getting the children to sleep I have come down the stairs to find my husband wanking in the middle of the kitchen/dining room.

He says he is sorry and that it is inappropriate. My thoughts are around what if it had been one of the children. I've asked him to leave. He thinks I'm over reacting. I'm not am I ?

Woooah. You asked him to leave? Yeah he needs to be more discreet but well, lots of people masturbate - I do. Often if I'm stressed.

Mantlemoose · 07/11/2021 22:07

To move out? Yes way over reacting.

sandgrown · 07/11/2021 22:07

Actually i think you are . He should have done it somewhere private but lots of men , and women, have very satisfying sex lives but still masturbate. Do you think he wanted you to catch him? Is it really worth ending your marriage over?

Milomonster · 07/11/2021 22:07

Whoa totally disproportionate reaction!! Yes, he shouldn’t be doing it in the kitchen, however, wanking isn’t illegal. Confused

Is he feeling OK generally? Has he been acting unusually in other ways? It's such a strange thing to do - was he just standing there in full view, wanking in the kitchen? - that I'd assume he'd taken a leave of his senses for some reason.

I’m guessing there’s back story

Whattheschitt · 07/11/2021 22:08

Unless there's about to be a massive drip feed, YABU.

Moonshine11 · 07/11/2021 22:09

Yes you are over reacting.
He could of picked a better place than the kitchen IMO

LubaLuca · 07/11/2021 22:09

But yes, it's an overreaction whether he knew what he was doing or not.

Mum2jenny · 07/11/2021 22:10

Total overreaction in my opinion. He was only having a wank, ok he could have been more discrete about it, but asking him to leave is just daft.

I think it's a bit extreme asking him to leave.

userxx · 07/11/2021 22:10

What a wanker, bet he expected you to clean the kitchen up too.

Oneforthemoneytwo · 07/11/2021 22:10

Did you really ask him to leave? He might be wise to save it for the bedroom where he’s less likely to get walked in on but, it’s not really worth getting worked up over.

Libertaire · 07/11/2021 22:10

That’s a completely ridiculous over-reaction. He’s perfectly entitled to wank but he should do it discreetly.

Starcaller · 07/11/2021 22:10

I mean the kitchen is weird but I guess he knew you were with the kids so it was safe to do so? Is it the masturbating or the location that has upset you? Did it involve an apple pie?!

thefirstmrsrochester · 07/11/2021 22:11

Can’t say I’d be thrilled to find DH wanking in the kitchen, but men wank, women too, he’s been inappropriate in his choice of where, but it’s hardly a ‘booting out of the house’ offence.

Leave as in I need some space right now please go for a walk or leave and don't come back?

I mean walking into a bedroom or bathroom, fine. But I'd be annoyed he was just wanking off in the middle of family space and potentially making a mess....

BabyRace · 07/11/2021 22:12

Was he spunking on the dinner? If not, huge overreaction.

ThirdElephant · 07/11/2021 22:12

Has he been watching too much porn? Did he expect you to sashay over and ask him if he needed a hand?
