Can’t believe it, but here we are on Thread 5!

Thread 4 here

Just back from a 4.5 mile run - bit cold this morning! I’ve sea monkeys growing in the kitchen, soaps hardening in the bathroom, and the carpets are full of glitter. They had a great weekend!

The thumb also seems to be improving. Phew.

All on today to prep for tomorrow’s meeting with Geller. He really does seem broken. But I will not waiver.

Hope everyone had a good weekend and all health ailments are on the mend. Time to slap on some moisturiser - caught the sun this weekend - but look much better for it!

Oh it's very much only black humour Smile

SpringCrocus · 25/05/2021 14:24

I'm not really going to help with a spousal disposal! 🙄
Honestly, it's just black humour 🙄

Lougle · 25/05/2021 14:51

Moving on then, what's for dinner tonight, Polly?

StuckInPollyannaMode · 25/05/2021 14:58

Hi hi fellow comrades

Just to make it clear, I’m enjoying the humour but I don’t actually wish him harm...

Grace and dignity at all times, that’s what I’m trying to live by.

Our wedding anniversary next week. I’ve booked a pedicure and a yoga lesson. Hopefully have dinner with friends.

Still thinking on how to handle it. Work gone crazy which is good, something to focus on.

Bedtimes are going well!

I’m going out for dinner tonight! Or to be more accurate, I’m being taken out for dinner ...😉

Look at you WinkWinkWinkWink

Have you watched "The Good Wife"? Grace, dignity and loving a better life all the way in that.

Glad bedtimes are going well.

pointythings · 25/05/2021 15:18

The best revenge is you living your best life and being happy without him!

Lougle · 25/05/2021 15:53

Ooh la la - eating out! Very nice. Are you a 'pick my dish before I get there' sort, or do you like the element of surprise? I always find it quite hard to choose, but if I'm out with one of my friends, we tend to order something different and let each other have a taste (pre-covid!).

SortingItOut · 25/05/2021 21:29

Please expand on the 😉 face...hope you've had a great evening

StuckInPollyannaMode · 26/05/2021 00:39

I’ve had a super evening. Third date. See, I don’t tell you guys everything 🤣

I had chicken wrapped in Parma ham stuffed with sun dried tomatoes and it was lush. Then we shared sticky toffee pudding.

Plus much snoggage in the car before and after...

StuckInPollyannaMode · 26/05/2021 00:39

He gave me one of his scallops...!

OP posts:
SpringCrocus · 26/05/2021 00:53

Oooh he shared his food with you?
Classic "interested male" behaviour!
Mine (been together 40 years, married 38)
baked me a cake.
All mating pair bond behaviour involves food sharing. Tis biology.

SpringCrocus · 26/05/2021 00:54

Is this DJ bloke, or a, new man?

SpringCrocus · 26/05/2021 00:54

Anyway, go @StuckInPollyannaMode

CrikeyPeg · 26/05/2021 01:50

@SortingItOut

If its any help I have pigs......
I was just about to say hungry pigs. I mean, a patio is nice and all that, but you can dig up a patio. Pigs, on the other hand ...
StuckInPollyannaMode · 26/05/2021 06:55

New man. Decided to dust myself off and have one last go on Bumble.

He’s interesting, intelligent, passionate about what he does (police), ridiculously good looking and, most importantly, not a wanker. Or doesn’t seem to be. We are having fun and it feels great.

He’s taking me out for brunch on Sunday. If he lasts after that I’ll give him a nickname for you lot!

SortingItOut · 26/05/2021 07:32

Oh Polly I'm so pleased you dusted yourself off after Mr DYD - initial rejections sting like hell until you get used to them.

This guy sounds lovely - can't wait for the Saturday instalment [I'm far too invested😂]

FelicityPike · 26/05/2021 07:38

He needs to be called Dixon or Plum.

LittleMissNaice · 26/05/2021 09:40

Sargeant Snog

daisyjgrey · 26/05/2021 10:07

@LittleMissNaice

Sargeant Snog
I second this.
1WayOrAnother2 · 26/05/2021 14:35

Which TV policeman is most like him? (Would he be in Morse or Line of Duty or a nordic noir or a soap?)

SpringCrocus · 26/05/2021 15:18

Oooh, Morse. Yum.

drspouse · 26/05/2021 16:00

Oh I can't stand Morse (though he's OK in Endeavour, the older one is just not very attractive).

pointythings · 26/05/2021 16:03

Gene Hunt?

WhatWouldChristineCagneyDo · 26/05/2021 16:06

Officer Crabtree?
