So just curious to know as I'm hoping soon I'll be engaged.

how long after your relationships started did you get engaged and are you still happily married?

No engagement really - we were pretty much living together from day 1, he proposed 2 weeks after we met, we were married a year after we met and we’re still happy 26 years, 2 kids and 5 dogs later Grin

Engaged after four months, (had known him as a friend for years) married five months later. Three DC and 26 years later not a moment’s regret.

Engaged after 2.5 years. Married nearly 12 years, mainly happily. Totally depends on the couple though. We'd both been long term attached (DH had been married) before and were keen to get on with it, having met and agreed it was something we wanted to do. We were early 30s by then.

Engaged after just short of 2 years, married after 3 years. Our son came at the 6th year & together for 7

What is "engaged"? Isn't it a bit meaningless now? Now people live together for years, "get engaged" but with no wedding date set.

We just decided to get married.

Moved in together after 12 months, got engaged 3 months later, married 4 months after that. Been married a decade, and never fallen out. We're each other's best friends.

Bought a house together at 3 years
Pregnant now at 5 years :)

Engaged after 11 months, married 16 months after that. Had our 30th wedding anniversary this year Smile Still love him as much as I did then

My PILs got engaged after six weeks, married not long after and had almost 50 very happy years together until MIL died.

My own parents have been married 61 years. I must ask them how soon they got engaged because I actually don't know.

Engaged after 4 years. Postponed our wedding due to COVID. So decided to switch it round and try for a baby instead due June 2021.
