How long until you got engaged?

So just curious to know as I'm hoping soon I'll be engaged.

how long after your relationships started did you get engaged and are you still happily married?

Engaged after 3 years, married 4 years later. Been married 3 years now and had our first child in June

Engaged after 18 months but not announced until 6 months before the wedding so a year between proposal and marriage. Have been married for 30 years

Together just over 2 years when he proposed on my 21st birthday. Married 3.5 years later and had our second anniversary last month. 2 DDs.

We got engaged, 4 mths after we met, been married 26 years & have two DS’.

Engaged at 4.5 years, married at just less than 6 years together. Been married for 4 years and still happy. Celebrated a decade together in lockdown 1.0.

3 months first marriage,9 months second

Engaged after 11 years, married at 12 years, DC came at 13 years. Together 22 years in all, I'm 45.

We've lived in 3 different countries and have had both great adventures and tragedies along the way.

I remember my grandmother asking, 'do you think you will get married?' and I answered, 'GM, it's only been 8 years, I have to be sure!' how she laughed! She got married within a year and had 10 children, married 60 years.

Together 21 years, got engaged at 7 years and married at 8 years. Married 13 years now.

Engaged after 7 months married at 9 months. First marriage in my 40s, when you know, you know.

Engaged after 2 1/2 years. 4 years married and still together

First time it was about 9 years and we split before our second wedding anniversary.

Second time we had been together for two years and have now been married for six.

Three months or so. Kept it quiet until we got the ring a month later. We lived far apart at the time.

And yes, still happily married. 18 years later.

Engaged after 1 year, married 9 months later, DC1 9 months after that married 5 years now with 2 DC and still going strong.
It’s been quite quick but we were mid/late 30s when we met and I’ve kissed enough frogs already!

Engaged at 2 years, married at 6, just had our 20th anniversary of getting together.

Engaged after 3.5 years, married just under a year later. Coming up to 10 years married in 2021.

We never got engaged...both knew we wanted to be married so just skipped to the main event..

Engaged after 15 months
Married 17 months later

Currently 7 years in and going well touch wood 😊

Engaged after 3 months and married within a year. Been married now for 16 years. We got engaged quickly but we’d known each other for a few years and I was late 20’s and had had plenty of relationships to know whether this was right or not.

Engaged at 3 1/2 years, married at 5 1/2 years, first DD at 9 years and still going.

Had a wobble this year but having our daughter, lockdown with no family nearby, potential PND (never diagnosed but I had a couple of bad spirals but not sure what was PND and what was lockdown) its just been hard in general.

We've still together though. Hopefully will remain that way.

I think we were together for about 3 years when he asked me to marry him, then we got married about 9 months later. Still together 20+ years on.

We got engaged after 11 months, and married 8 months after that. We'd known each other as friends/colleagues for 4 years before that. Been together nearly 20 years

Knew we would be married within a month of meeting but we were only 17! Properly engaged at 19, married at 21, that was 1993. Still very happy.

We may have done things in funny order but we're very happy 😊

We decided that we were going to Marry within 4 weeks.
