Would you sleep with two different people in the same day?

I don’t mean a threesome.

Purely hypothetical at the moment, but I’m curious to know what people would do.

I only have every other weekend free due to childcare. I have a casual partner, and I’ve been speaking to someone for the past 6 weeks I really want to meet.

When lockdown is lifted (yes, I don’t it’s going to be any time soon hence hypothetical), I would probably see on of them Friday Night and the other Sat night. If I stay over (which I do with my casual), there would be morning sex.

So that’s my question really - would you have morning sex with one person and then have sex with someone else in the evening? I can’t decide if I think it’s fine or a bit weird.

I think it's grim, and I'd think that if it was a man or a woman doing it. I also wouldn't ever want to have sex with someone who'd had sex with someone else earlier that day.

StarlightLady · 10/05/2020 16:21

@TooMuchBloodyChoice - So well put. Flowers WineWine.

ElderflowerPotion · 10/05/2020 16:22

@saladmakesmesad

Just curious, but would it make a difference if I went home Friday night and skipped the morning sex?

I wouldn’t though - morning sex is the best bit.

@BluebellForest836 but if i went on to have a relationship with someone later who I'd asked at the outset - and it later came out that in fact in the early days had been regularly sleeping with someone else but decided that it wasn't worth mentioning when asked directly, just because their own interpretation of the word meant they felt they could omit that , I'd be angry I'd wasted my time and trust. Sleep with whoever bit I do think that the people you are sleeping with deserve to know especially if they care enough to ask

Two in two days is still a bit grim to me. But it's clearly a matter of opinion.

AintNoRainToday · 10/05/2020 16:31

I would only consider this if a condom had been used. I remember my friend sleeping with a bloke at the beginning of an evening and then a different on at the end of the night. Without a condom. It made me feel physically sick on the bodily fluids/infection front.

ilovepixie · 10/05/2020 16:33

If you and your partners are happy with it go for it. I've done it before.

Borgonzola · 10/05/2020 16:33

I've heard this referred to as 'stirring another man's porridge' ConfusedGrin

hollieberrie · 10/05/2020 16:35

Yes i've done this, its fine. Enjoy yourself!

BluebellForest836 · 10/05/2020 16:39

Bluebell, but if you are going on a first date with someone and end up having sex with them/just meet someone without there ever being a date and end of having sex with them, I'd think it would be good to make clear it certainly wasn't exclusive. Why ever not?

Because it’s a first date, it should be pretty obvious that your not exclusive if you have only met once. I would presume someone was very naive if they presumed exclusivity after having sex once after one date/meet up.

You'd be surprised how many people do have sex on first meeting and think it's the start of something and not just a one-night stand or casual

I’m sure that’s true but then they should make there expectations very clear or just don’t have sex til they are sure it’s something deeper then a casual relationship etc

I guess you can say that in these casual encounters you owe the other person absolutely zero.....that's zero in terms of any communication or respect or anything. But then I think you're not really viewing them as a human being or acknowledging they might have feelings about it, even if you don't. They really are faceless beings who are just there for sex. But the point is, they are all people. Women haven't liked being treated like this and neither do men.

They need to make it very clear before even meeting that they are looking for X Y or Z and have that discussion before meeting.

So is selfish sex okay? By selfish I mean, sex on your own terms, when the other person has no idea about what those terms actually are? I think not. I think someone can have as many partners as they want but if they want to do this adult thing they also have to behave like adults and show respect and communicate.

That absolutely works both ways.

minielise · 10/05/2020 16:39

I don’t see a problem but I would double up on contraception! Condoms obviously so the second isn’t dipping in the first, and something like the pill to make sure there’s no confusion if a condom splits!

TheClootieDumplin · 10/05/2020 16:41

The posts from the Op read more like a research project than genuine questions.

BluebellForest836 · 10/05/2020 16:43

@midnightstar66 - then ask direct and outright... Are you having sex with anyone currently such as a FB or FWB... that way no one can misinterpret the meaning and it saves confusion down the line.

Although I’d find it rather odd if someone I hadn’t met who I was going on a first date with asked me something like that but each time there own.

PurBal · 10/05/2020 16:44

I did when I was a student. It was changing the sheets between the two of them that was the most stress. Especially when you've got one set and your using communal washing facilities. Never again.

TheClootieDumplin · 10/05/2020 16:45

Op, long ago I would have been extremely judgmental about someone doing this but the older I get the more my outlook changes on many a thing and whilst it wouldn't be for me I wouldn't judge you for going ahead with this.

Alonelonelyloner · 10/05/2020 16:46

Why the fuck not? Go for it. I did, and more. I have oodles of self-respect and now I'm older , have lots of experience which I don't regret.

Why not.

IMO all the naysaying just comes from either misogyny
plain straitlacedness (or whatever)
Jealousy

GilbertMarkham · 10/05/2020 16:47

I wouldn’t though - morning sex is the best bit.

Grin

Op is a scream.

OldLace · 10/05/2020 16:53

Morally - why shouldn't you? Plenty of men do.
People vary enormously in their attitudes and approach to sex, for some it is good fun and simply feels good, for others it is a semi sacred rare connection - both views and in between are just fine.
Practically - double up on contraception
Personally - I had this opportunity earlier this year after a 10 year dry marriage ended. I met with three old friends over a weekend, two of whom made it clear they would take it further if I wished.
I didn't because I am in love with the third man mentioned above.

As all 3 are 300miles away, and lockdown continues, it was probably my once in a lifetime chance!

PicsInRed · 10/05/2020 17:00

why shouldn't you? Plenty of men do.

Yeah. Yuck ones.

BluebellForest836 · 10/05/2020 17:01

Yeah. Yuck ones

Yuck ones😂 when did we all revert back to being 9 again Grin

ChristmasCarcass · 10/05/2020 17:04

I wouldn’t want to, but that’s because I’d have difficulty dating two people at once. I like to focus on one person at a time.

I might have a one night stand on two consecutive nights, but I’d have trouble sleeping with two regular partners back to back. Aware there is no difference really, but on a personal ickiness scale the second one is over the line for me.

teaandcake19 · 10/05/2020 17:04

I did when I was a student and would do it again. Like the OP said having a shower and contraception are a given.

Women are allowed to enjoy sex as well!

Bbq1 · 10/05/2020 17:04

@Alonelonelyloner
I really don't think people saying it's grim etc, like myself, are in an any way Jealous of op's lifestyle. Yuk, no thanks. Plus, let's face it , the vast majority of women could go out/online and pick up 2 randoms who would happily have sex with them knowing another man was so jealousy is hardly an issue. It's all about your own standards and the type of life you want to.lead. OP wants to do that when her child is at his father's so nobody will change that. However, she did ask so can't expect all positive replies...

Single2catsand1daughter · 10/05/2020 17:04

Boak and double boak.
