I'll keep this as short as possible.

I'm in my fifties - haven't been in a new relationship for 30 years.

I've very stressed. A very romantic weekend has been booked - no-one has ever done this for me before.

But I have absolutely no clue what to do in the bedroom.

Am I expected to wax? What about underwear? I don't even know what sexy knickers are when you're old and overweight.

ANY advice VERY welcome!!!

How exciting!!maybe a tidy up in the bikini area? Depends what you're used to and what you like, I'd go out for some nice new undies that made me feel sexy....

No one cares about knickers - the most important thing is to make yourself feel at ease so you can enjoy the weekend.

Make yourself look nice to get some confidence, get your hair nice, get some comfy well fitting underwear and a nice robe that you can waft around in.

Have a fab time.

Just be yourself. If you don't normally wax then don't. Wear underwear you feel comfortable, happy and confident in.

I like to shave my legs, armpits, tidy the bikini area (I favour a full bush though) and make my hair all big and bouncy so I can pretend I’m super glamorous.

Nice perfume or body wash too - makes you feel ‘finished’

Exfoliate so your skin is soft, wear a lovely perfume and yes, a lovely robe to waft around in (love that )

Well, I'm past my 50's.

Knickers are chucked on the floor anyway so don't worry about buying anything new!

As my grandad likes to tell us to make us laugh at family parties.... 'you young'uns think you invented sex....well we've been doing it a lot longer!' so I'm going to go out on a limb and say nothing has changed!

Buy some lube. Please ensure a condom is used ( if person is male obvs 😉 ) but defiantly safe sex. Enjoy yourself.

Maybe get a pedicure? That always makes me feel glamorous.
A massage beforehand or a long swim would relax you.

Just go to boots or Sainsbury's it's with the condoms. It will make sex much more relaxing for you.

You can buy it from Sainsbury's - don't panic and you don't have to announce you have used it either- keep it in your sponge bag in the bathroom and if you think you may need it pop in there!
