Embarrassing advice

I'll keep this as short as possible.

I'm in my fifties - haven't been in a new relationship for 30 years.

I've very stressed. A very romantic weekend has been booked - no-one has ever done this for me before.

But I have absolutely no clue what to do in the bedroom.

Am I expected to wax? What about underwear? I don't even know what sexy knickers are when you're old and overweight.

ANY advice VERY welcome!!!

I had a weekend away last week (and am early fifties). I am curvy and felt gorgeous in this. It's really flattering and much nicer than the photos.

PS: I took Neutradol just in case, so you are not the only one who thinks about stinks!

I'm a shy poo-er. In a hotel room I make sure the tv is on and just squirt some perfume/deodorant - less embarrassing than loo spray!

I'd take a slinky nightie to wear in bed - I don't like to be naked throughout the night Blush

Gina2012 · 03/03/2019 16:19

Wow @FlorenceandtheWashingMachine 🥰

Cel982 · 03/03/2019 16:43

Oh, and for goodness sake don’t pack a nightie. Some people will be suggesting a book to read in bed next.

I've never in my life gone anywhere without taking a book to read in bed Confused Is the OP expected to have sex every minute weekend? And of course she might like to take a nightie, not everybody is comfortable being naked all the time. Hope you have a wonderful time, OP!

I always do the "poo in the lobby" thing when having a romantic weekend with my partner. Usually in the morning I offer to go get a proper coffee from downstairs and use the time to use the toilets. Or maybe you could say you need to make a personal phone call to your bank or something.

I understand your worries - these are things I think about too.

I recommend using Whatsapp or text messages to discuss condom use. You could send a message just saying "not sure how to bring this up... but just wanted to ask if you are buying the condoms, or me? I'm not sure what type you prefer??"

Make it one of this email things that just goes without saying. Then when the time comes, he knows what's expected.

I always leave my makeup in the bathroom and take my clothes in to get changed right after my shower int he morning. I like to maintain a bit of mystery and putting on makeup around someone new feels weird.

But it is amazing how a weekend away can make you very comfortable in a short space of time.

Bluemascara4 · 03/03/2019 21:59

Was it this weekend you were going away OP?

Vipoo, It's a game changer.

What sort of games are you playing?

certainlymerry · 04/03/2019 06:34

I would say that having sex is a much more intimate thing than putting your make up in in front of someone!

ScrollPastBadStuff · 04/03/2019 06:53

Grin Grin Lizzie

userxx · 04/03/2019 08:16

@LizzieSiddal Poo games of course 😏

SmiledWithTheRisingSun · 04/03/2019 17:01

Did you go yet op??

JustHereForThePooStories · 04/03/2019 19:24

Did you go yet op??

As in, did she go away for the weekend, or did she go for a poo?

XiCi · 04/03/2019 19:42

Christ you'll need a rucksack the way this lot are going

Haha, my thoughts exactly. He clearly likes you OP so just relax and go with the flow! Do you actually need lube? Because I'm almost 50 and don't at all. And carrying air freshener to spray round the bathroom will quite frankly make you look a bit like a loon. Definitely would recommend a tidy up downstairs, maybe a pedicure and manicure. I'm sure after a few drinks VIPoo will be the last thing on your mind Smile

LuckyLou7 · 04/03/2019 19:42

There's a lot of poo talk on this thread...

grincheux · 04/03/2019 19:47

How exciting OP!! Just tidy up to the point you're comfortable and confident, and wear something that makes you feel good. I understand the loo phobia, I'm a fan of waiting til you're in a bar or restaurant to do a number 2 if it makes you really nervous. Or VI Poo is brilliant stuff!

I hope you have a fantastic time, enjoy!
