Good idea TooOld - mess with the algorithm but not the man! I'm not looking for a day-to-day 'who's turn to put the bins out?' relationship, rather a long-term lover sort of thing, but lying is never a good thing.

I actively prefer men over 50 because they get my cultural references. In their 40s I find they are likely still to have dependent children, and are a bit obsessed with work.

I wouldn’t change age it really annoys me and also makes me think if they out by like 2 years that they’ve been on there for 2 years! Maybe I over think!!
Lonely- single men popular at swing clubs if confident and if you just want sex. I would leave out all the complicated stuff about work until chatting as like you say if you met right person you’d make it work.

lifegoes I can totally empathise with your situation though because I was in the same boat six months ago - and if truth be told I wasn’t really ready to date again. I’d find people on Tinder, have the ego boost of them wanting me but then when it came to meeting I just couldn’t do it and chickened away. And six months ago that is exactly what I did to the girl I’m now dating!

There’s no set time to be over an ex and there’s no seamless transition whereby one second you’re comparing to an ex and the next you’re ready to move. You just have to take it at your own pace, and there will eventually be one person who makes you want to go on a date and for those few hours on a date you’ll forget all about the ex. And I hope it happens soon for you as you totally deserve it!

Thanks SuperCali, the more I think about it the more I am annoyed. He did mention on our second date that he had multidated in the past after his marriage broke up, but he made it sound quite historical. Wish I had asked then though, before we dtd!

I feel he was really dickish in lots of things though he said to me, that now I think about it were either designed to make me believe we could have a future, or that he did feel in the moment but were damn irresponsible to say if you know you don't want a relationship. Yet I still feel like I'm pining for him, which is horrible and also makes me feel like I'm an idiot.

So I'm now on official 34 hour countdown until my date with mr maths .,Had nails done outfit chosen - skinny plether jeans ,black jacket and leopard print ankle boots. Now for the worrying bit - it's over an hours drive and I don't think I've ever driven for more than 20mins as I'm not the most confident driver so I will probably arrive all sweaty and having a panic attack instead of all cool and sexy. We've clicked really well on line and his messages literally make me lol so half of me doesn't want to actually meet him just in case there is no spark between us ' does anyone else ever feel like that ?
