Who has worked in escorting?

Ely7891 · 16/01/2019 12:52

I’m a single mum with little support system, I can barely afford to keep the roof over our heads. I’m seriously considering escorting, a high end agency want to meet with me to discuss it further. It’s run by a young female, their booking procedure for new clients is rigorous and these guys are paying hundreds.. so far it seems as safe a way to do this. Until then I want to hear from women who have done this. Not interested in hearing judgement; I’ve scraped by for 4 years, I’ve worked hard, I’ve taken further training, I’ve moved houses, I’ve sold my possessions, I’ve watched my kids have just a card for Christmas. I can NOT get ahead of myself and now I’m in debt. I want to take charge back of my life and if this is the way to go, so be it. So please if any ladies out there who have experience, I’d be very grateful for your insight. Thank you x

I have to say that when I worked on the deli counter in Waitrose i never got people expecting me to give them oral without a condom or to take it up the arse.

I realise that all supermarkets are different but it's not a deal that's coming up on any price comparison sites I've looked at either.

Hundredacrewoods · 17/01/2019 20:22

@compostcorner the fact that you refer to escorts as 'girls' says it all

QueenOfTheCroneAge · 17/01/2019 20:24

You wouldn't visit a sex worker to buy food though would you. You were paid to service customers. Just in a different way.

theworldistoosmall · 17/01/2019 20:28

As a hooker I don't expect to take it up the arse either.

Hundredacrewoods- many refer to themselves as WG's - working girls. Maybe take the terminology up directly with the hookers and try and explain to them what they should be calling themselves. ukescorting would be a great place to get your point across.

over50andfab · 17/01/2019 20:29

Just to turn the situation around for a minute...a group of us (all divorced “older” women) had a conversation about this. We googled to see whether male escort services existed in our area - yes, several, which was quite a revelation, but then perhaps we are just naive Hmm

So ....a menu of men...and yes, all ethnicities, including black, and we did discuss that Blush .
(Btw to bethy15 a fetish is a “form of sexual desire in which gratification is linked to an abnormal degree to a particular object, item of clothing, part of the body, etc.” so I don’t think in this context you could call it a fetish as not really abnormal!)

I think the main reason we would consider this way of getting sex is that there are no strings attached and nothing to prove. I did note that some of the guys stated that, in the nicest possible way, the attraction had to be a 3 way thing and there might be times they would have to say no.

As for the respect thing, noloss of respect for them. It’s a job, and if it’s something they might be good at, then why not? We actually thought we’d lose more respect for ourselves in doing this than the guys we would be paying.

jessstan2 · 17/01/2019 20:36

Franheaton, your above post is hilarious!

LuluMelons · 17/01/2019 20:42

Yes I do wonder why escorting isn't recommended by the Job Centre or a career choice for girls in high school.

jessstan2 · 17/01/2019 20:44

Been reading the posts since I was last here & there's a lot of talk about respect.

When I worked as a prostitute I was well respected by clients (except for one who was horrible & I didn't sleep with him or see him again), I also gained a lot of self respect. I treated clients with respect too.

It made me feel good. I also enjoyed having a secret life.
Difficult to explain. Perhaps others who have been prostitutes will understand what I mean (I'm deliberately using the P word because of objection to the word 'escort'. I explained what the subdivision of 'Escorting' meant in the world of prostitution on previous page but of course anyone who sells sexual favours is a prostitute, I don't dispute that).

Thepinkyponk · 17/01/2019 21:03

I have.

I was stalked by two regulars turned obsessives who managed to find out my real identity and made my life a misery.

Have some grim memories of unhygenic clients.

Very isolating industry.

When I was 'outed' the stigma never left me so I've since moved across the country to reinvent myself.

I've got long lasting issues with intimacy that stem from my time in the sex industry and I absolutely despise sex most of the time now.

I've no doubt that some women thrive in their role and love the money but for me personally it was the biggest mistake of my life and I wish I'd never bothered.

Fwiw I made a lot of money and there were some lovely clients who took me to expensive places and bought me gifts, gave me big 'tips' and not all of them were hard work sexually but the bad far outweighed the good for me.

Join saafe.info that forum was priceless for me at the time.

ItsHardToExplain · 17/01/2019 21:03

There was a lady at my DN school (primary) who has a son, someone found out what she did for work and everyone started complaining to the headteacher, especially when she brought one of her clients to the summer fair at school, her son had to move school in the end because of the parents saying they would take there children out of the school if she continued to collect him/drop off
^ this story, and the other similar stories on this thread make me sad. All the hate is directed at the women but it’s the MEN’S fault there is a need for escorting and prostitution so really everyone should blame them rather than a single mum who is desperate for money Hmm

theworldistoosmall · 17/01/2019 21:14

Wtf was she thinking to take a client to the school? Serious boundary issues. (don't know how I missed that post)

What about the females who hire male hookers? AS over50's found out there are male escort services. Males also advertise on AW. A friend of mine is a male hooker.

GummyGoddess · 17/01/2019 21:16

If it's just a job, would you be happy for your partner to do it?

serialtester · 17/01/2019 21:21

OP, if I were you I would ignore the high end agency and do what other people have suggested (get yourself set up on adult work etc)

I think the agency people sense that you're struggling and vulnerable - if you're going to do this make sure you're profiting yourself and not others.

jessstan2 · 17/01/2019 21:24

ItsHardToExplan, I think it is very odd that she would bring a client to her child's school summer fair and how would anyone know he was a client anyway? He wasn't going to advertise the fact. That doesn't ring true.

Why did the person who 'found out' the woman was a prostitute tell everyone causing so many to complain? If I'd been the headteacher at that school I would clamp down on gossip and scandalmongering amongst parents!

I have doubts about that story.

The pinkyponk, I'm so sorry things turned out that way for you. Maybe you went on doing the work for too long. I didn't do it for very long, there came a point when I just didn't want to any more, I'd lost interest, there was no longer a 'buzz', so I stopped. I wanted to move on with my life and I did. It's like anything else, you come to the end of it. However, I have no regrets.
This is for you Flowers, your post made me sad.

Male hookers almost exclusively service male clients. Women, in the main, do not buy sex.

over50andfab · 17/01/2019 22:00

Perhaps not as much, but it does happen - just google it! And male hookers almost exclusively servicing male clients?...well of the guys we looked at the gay men were very much in the minority - in fact there were more dedicated sites for their services.

NotANotMan · 17/01/2019 22:08

Just because male escort sites aimed at women exist doesn't mean that women are using them Grin
Those sites take a fee from men to advertise on the promise that they will get women paying to screw them, when most of the guys wouldn't catch a date on tinder

NotANotMan · 17/01/2019 22:14

www.ukadultzone.com/west-sussex-male-escorts.html

Warning - link contains some nudity!

I clicked on the first 10 profiles and zero of them had any reviews at all. Those sites exist to gouge money from delusional men. There is no market for women paying for a mediocre man to date when online dating sites are so easy!

Wordthe · 17/01/2019 22:18

I would Google the saafe forum for an insider's view on that one

Frosty66611 · 17/01/2019 22:19

Straight male escorts probably get one or two bookings per year if they are lucky (and extremely handsome and charismatic). some of my worst clients that I had over the years would set up profiles for themselves on adultwork and it used to make me cringe so much. They must have been completely delusional!
There are lots of male escort agencies online and 99% of them are scams to dupe naive men into paying them to set their profiles up. They will then never get any bookings out of it and will have completely wasted their time and money.

Surfingtheweb · 17/01/2019 22:22

My daughter once had a friend in junior school whose mum was an ex stripper, she said that when she worked she would be offered money for sex, some of the men were hot & she would have had sex for free so loved getting paid for it.
She turned out to be extremely mentally unstable.
An old neighbor had a relative come to stay with her, the relative started working for one of these agencies where men call & a girl is delivered to their door, she was extremely unstable & I felt really really sorry for her. In regards to the job she didn't care, she would get dropped off by a driver, do the deed & collected, she said there were instances of women being beaten up with the customer but the driver would then go in and thump the punter. She had sex with some big movie stars, but she also had to go to a man who would ask her to get under the bed, pretend she was dead & he would pull out her dead body & have sex with it......
another man she would have to stop en route & pick stinging nettles so she could whip him with them lol.
She always had baby wipes in her bag so she could clean up between jobs.
While she always had a HUGE wedge of cash, it sounded horrific, she was nuts, I met a work friends of hers once, she was nuttier.
All my experiences of meeting sex workers is that they are very troubled women.
Seriously rather than doing this it would be better to claim all benefits & get a cash in hand job to get your depts clear. Or go back to full time education & get grants & a qualification that will lead to a career. Don't underestimate the level of crazy you have to be to be ok with living that life.

theworldistoosmall · 17/01/2019 22:31

Benefit fraud. So much better for you op to have a criminal record lol. Suprised no-one has suggested dealing as you would make a killing selling to fellow hookers Grin

There are over 16,000 male hookers on AW. Many are straight. Many have FB. None would have paid for their profiles unless they have used someone to create theirs like some of the females do.

Thingywhatsit · 17/01/2019 22:32

hi op - I haven’t read the whole thread, but if it hasn’t been mentioned already, please go to the saafe.info website. There is a forum there and I think it would be really useful for you. It’s run by escorts/prostitutes/hookers, whatever you want to call them, and they will help you see what it’s like in real life. Also gives some great advice on staying safe and what to expect.

Having read a few of your posts, I think you are looking at this scenario with a little naivety. But that is understandable as it’s probably due to this “high end” agency painting a rose tinted world.

bumblenbean · 17/01/2019 22:59

Jesus those ‘reviews’ on the tumblr link are seriously disturbing.

‘She was the best of the meat on offer’
‘Some girls are lovely but most are just holes to fuck’
‘It was great seeing her pretty face buried in my fat hairy arse’

OP this is the reality Shock

Franheaton · 17/01/2019 23:03

LOL I'm sure there are thousands of men marketing themselves as sex studs to women but they're not getting booked by them.

I mean, come on, would you pay for this?
