Because you asked for it with such vociferousness, and the other thread, astonishingly, is nearly full... Grin

Oh mortal, i'm sorry you got stressed and drenched, but how lovely that he's being your knight in shining armour

On an aside, can I thank profusely whoever posted the booborbust website?! I've been wearing a 36D since having DD a year ago, and prior to pref. Was wearing a 34 C/D. I did the measurements last night and came up as a 32H!!! I've been on to town and am now two beautiful bras richer and £90 poorer, but it's worth it and a fabulous pair of knickers... (autocorrected to knockers Grin that too!)

Redsippycup · 15/12/2017 15:25

preg and in. Apparently autocorrect isn't as in to me as I thought...

Mix56 · 15/12/2017 15:51

"he told me I had looked beautiful", right, that's it then,
This is now sealed in blood, Rumpled is game !

christmasrage · 15/12/2017 16:02

😍

CountFosco · 15/12/2017 16:22

He is so into you and sounds lovely and I both want this thread to end because he's kissed you / don't want it to end ever because I've been with DH since the dawn of time and love reading about these early stages of romances when everything is perfect before you have far too many children and are like ships in the night as you drive them from activity to activity.

OrangesAndLemonsOnly · 15/12/2017 16:25

he did see it -- I had to take off the jacket in a hot meeting room. And when I was explaining on the way to the restaurant why I was suddenly wearing a Weeble outfit, he told me I had looked beautiful. After which there was an awkward silence at a traffic light

Oh Mortal, put this poor man out of his misery! Smile at him, show him you love his company, tell you how much you appreciate what he does for you. The poor rumpled soul is head over heels over you. Please make it a bit easier for him Xmas Grin

Okkitokkiunga · 15/12/2017 16:34

I've been lurking since the beginning. I am stood in my kitchen reading the updates with the goofiest grin on my face ever.

soupforbrains · 15/12/2017 16:35

I have lurked through around 40 pages of this and I am de-lurking to say that he is definitely absolutely 100% into you and I really hope you're giving HIM enough positive signals despite your nerves because I super want this thread to go the whole Somerville.

returns to her dark corner to observe

BrokenBattleDroid · 15/12/2017 16:42

I wrote on the last thread that it doesn't matter if he likes you; he was rude when he turned and walked off after you suggested coffee (or whatever it was) and that should be the end of it.

I have changed my mind now. It all sounds lovely and comfortable and and kind happy. I hope it all works out.

OrangesAndLemonsOnly · 15/12/2017 17:00

And Mortal, please do not talk of you yourself as plain... Genuinely, you ARE beautiful to him! And when one’s in love, they have got a glow about them which IS beautiful. Even your work colleague have commented😍

Beauty is so much more than looks, it’s the air about the person, the way they move, their mannerisms, theirs facial expressions when they talk, the sound of their voice. Anyway, Rumpled has fully appreciated the way you looked in your dress and the way you looked without it 😂

sorry couldn’t help it

CountFosco · 15/12/2017 17:10

Mortal, as I keep telling my daughters, everyone who loves you thinks you're beautiful. I could stare at the people I love forever in amazement at their beauty. And yet other people seem to be able to respond them all quite normally.

RoseWhiteTips · 15/12/2017 17:47

What language do you speak to each other - in addition to English?

IHeartDodo · 15/12/2017 17:50

Aw lovely! am I the only one who had to google what a weeble was?

badbadhusky · 15/12/2017 17:52

I did not have to google weebles because I’m an old fart. Hell, I even had some when I was little.

gunsandbanjos · 15/12/2017 18:10

Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down!

PetraStrorm · 15/12/2017 18:11

I was once told that a sincerely-offered compliment should be treated like a gift.

All you have to do is accept it with a smile and a thank you. Most people feel a bit awkward when getting compliments, but if you're too self-deprecating it's like you're criticising the gift you've been given.

Accept the compliments and I bet plenty more will follow Smile

Apileofballyhoo · 15/12/2017 18:11

I don't care how much you try to convince yourself it's just a friend thing, who the hell tells their friends they look beautiful under the snowy weeble circumstances? You might say it in a friendly way to someone who is all dressed up for an occasion, but otherwise no.

Mix56 · 15/12/2017 18:28

I read it as the compliment was made about the dress, when Mortal was explaining why she has down graded the wardrobe....either way.
He's now courting !

NoSquirrels · 15/12/2017 18:41

Oh Mortal you are a sore tease (on this thread, that is.)

You said earlier there was nothing much more to tell, and if turns out he told you you looked beautiful and sat opposite admiring yourcleavage necklace...

If he isn’t into you I’d eat my metaphorical wedding hat!

Of course, of course- many reasons why it mightn’t work out but o do think you can be reasonably sure at this juncture that it’s not “just” a work friendship.

Would the sort of person who considered a friendly coffee at work “dangerous” be likely to make the “beautiful” comment to a single woman if he thought his intentions might be mistaken?

Chikka1971 · 15/12/2017 18:55

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!!! He said you were beautiful!! Xmas SmileXmas SmileXmas Smile

StealthNinjaMum · 15/12/2017 19:06

OMG!!!

I can't believe you took hours to tell us the most significant event of the day (the beautiful comment). You tease.

OldPony · 15/12/2017 19:06

Mortal, you must seize whilst the iron is hot!
I promised to myself to give up dating yesterday, but if you act, I may re-think this decision. It is clear that he adores you.
Also, if you take charge now, you'll forever be in charge....no arguments about unloading the dishwasher etc.
Be the Queen in your imminent relationship!

ElephantsandTigers · 15/12/2017 19:51

I hope this all ends in love and marriage ❣

The Rumpled army - providing protection from both horrid people amongst the lunchtime mince pies and men in shorts - is an encouraging sign - although now I’m having confusing ideas of it being like a ballet!
