Hello Smile

I’m Mouse one of the Brave Babes who ride on this wonderful Bus, called Gerald, along with all the Opal Fruits wrappers and of course Barry The squid. Grin

We all have a wise variety of life experiences and experiences with alcohol too. We’re not admirers of hang overs and we certainly don’t do judgey pants!

We’re here to ride along with you, when life is pants but also when it’s not as well and you my want to celebrate that bit too much!

So find a seat and come take a ride. I’ll link the previous and also the very first link and the reason we’re all here.

Hi Creepy, I hate the anxiety too It's horrible Sad

I am on day 2 and doing okay, slept really badly last night despite 2 over the counter sleeping tablets and when I woke up at 8 yo let the fog out I was exhausted. Put my head on pillow for a minute and fell asleep until 11.30 Shock now worried I won't sleep well again tonight.

Went to a yoga class tonight which was really nice 👍

Keep on keeping on everyone

Loubilou09 · 02/01/2018 23:08

Let the dog out at 8!

spanna41 · 02/01/2018 23:31

Welcome Pasta (sorry can't shorten to creepy) you're in the right place - I have had to do exactly the same with childcare when my kids were little too slaughtered to look after them I doubt you're having a heart attack - do not go online and self diagnose it's too stressful. Please don't beat yourself up. What's done is done. Time to move forward. Stick with us you'll be fine. Good luck with the AA meeting tomorrow, let us know how it goes. Post whenever you want, whatever you want. We all 'get it' Thanks

SummerScoop · 03/01/2018 00:05

Well I managed not to touch the opened wine, but havent managed to throw it away yet. Just glasses of water here! The anxiety is the worst bit for me Pasta good luck with the AA meeting tomorrow.

Hello two lovely ladies recommended I join the bus - thank you 💐 I have prob drunk a bottle of wine - at least - every night for the last ten years or so and I know I need to 1 must - stop. I though i would try dry January and last night drank only water and hot chocolate and was so so pleased and proud of myself. However tonight I drank a bottle and a half of wine 😕. I'm hoping I can look at tomorrow as a new day x

Trust2017 · 03/01/2018 04:20

Hi all it sounds like there will be a few of us newbies on the bus so I hope we can support each other. Twattage you asked me what I binge on. The usual drink of choice is white wine of which I can easily drink 2 bottles in a night but on NYE I surpassed myself and added several cocktails to the mix. Followed by another bottle of wine on NYD just to take the edge off. Yes endof yesterday was day 1 AF and thanks for your support but sadly this is ‘the norm’ for me after a binge drink in which I so sicken myself with alcohol I can’t physically drink for at least 4 days! So when I manage to get past this weekend I will hopefully start to feel better and a little bit happier with myself. Good luck everybody that is doing DJ. The longest I have been AF in the past few years is 2 weeks!!

Trust2017 · 03/01/2018 04:28

Trying we are in the same boat as I didn’t manage 1 Jan of DJ and you didn’t manage 2 Jan. Shall be both just say starting today we are on AF day 2 of DJ (does that make sense?) and take it from there? X

bakingcupcakes · 03/01/2018 06:15

Welcome Trying and all other newbies. Grab a seat. I'm pretty new too!

I did day 2 AF yesterday. Not that much of an achievement as I've been to work. It's the weekend I'll struggle with especially as DS's not back in school until Tuesday so I've nothing to stop me.

Hope everyone's ok today. It's very windy here and a bit wet. I'll see you on the shiny new thread later.

Twattage13 · 03/01/2018 06:24

Morning all - another breeze by on the way to my clients. I was awake at 3.15 - not sure if it was detox or a bit of work stress thinking. Managed to get back to a dozy sleep again until 6 after reading 1 chapter of my book.

Trust - will post tonight on the wine front...

Hello to all babes and bears - be strong and good today. Day 4 ahead for me. xxx

Saywhen · 03/01/2018 06:47

Nearly onto the new thread

Saywhen · 03/01/2018 06:47

Just filling up the bottom

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:31

God I hope that works, I’m not good with technology...

(Mumbles to self and wonders how Sweet managed to make such a clear, short link...)

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:33

Nope...still can’t do that cool shortening thing that Sweet did.

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:33

Must be getting old...losing my grip on technology...

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:34

Talking to myself as well...first sign of madness isn’t it?

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:34

Surely we’re there now?

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:35

Everyone on the shiny new thread? I’m just picking up opal fruit wrappers at the back of the bus...

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:46

There’s a lot of mess back here...

Margie32 · 03/01/2018 07:46

New Year’s Resolution - keep the bus tidier!
