the incompetence of each Legal Professional .. is terrifying... we trust these professionals to guide advise and direct us in the best interests of us.. the Client.. to find they fall far short of this.. is soul destroying.. and where do we turn... to challenge these failures... the Law Society which is a society of Lawyers

Need them to apply for my Adjournment and they have to take receipt of the outstanding notes of attendance plus the actual court order. Without those I can’t instruct a new solicitor.

I agreed to stall my complaint on Tuesday on the proviso they applied for my stay of arrangements after they had worked their arses off to actual,y obtain the as yet unwritten Court Order plus notes of attendance, which after two weeks they still haven’t done.

Court isn’t taking any more applications so that’s my appeal stuffed.
I suspect my solicitors have waited just long enough for these documents to magically appear so I am the one who will be in the wrong if I breach and they have wiggled out of doing what they promised but made them look incompetent

Do you have it in writing what they said? There must be an ombudsman or something. I get that’s it’s possibly too little too late in some aspects, but they can’t be allowed to get away with the incompetence.

Does he intend to have access this weekend do you know?

They can't get you to withdraw a complaint in return for some favour. Complaints must be handled.

This needs to go to the Ombudsman.

Still no attendance note from Counsel either?

I’ve ended up having to ring the Combined Courts myself.
Apparently after half an hour of waiting the Court Order was posted first class yesterday afternoon.

Nobody is answering my emails or texts or calls from the solicitor so I don’t know if they’ve received it.

The Court won’t tell me what’s on the Order but apparently there is an outstanding action to be completed by 5pm today that a list of allegations is to be sent to the other side. I cannot believe it.

I’ve emailed all this to my solicitors and even asked the receptionists to double check the post.

And still not note of attendance from counsel.

Court have kindly logged my enquiries with them and indicated I’ve been told nothing by my solicitors. They said that it was most unusual that barristers notes of attendance were outstanding after two weeks.

I’m really in the Seventh circle of Hell here

Formal complaint to Counsels head of chambers. Demand a full refund and full explanation.

Changed as of last week, I’m not handing them over.

The allegations will have to wait my brain is throbbing and nobody from my solicitors would even answer my calls or reply to emails. All of a sudden their out of office was on - all six people I tried.

At least with a new solicitors and a negligence complaint in I can proceed with clarity and appeal against the contact order. It’s all arse covering and the solicitor and barrister are colluding I reckon.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I had shit advice which cost me £100k so I understand the frustration with incompetent legal professionals.

I'm sure there are solicitors on here who could help if you posted on legal.

What a bunch of arseholes. What’s the point of spending all those years training if you can’t actually be arsed helping the people that really need it. I couldn’t know your situation and be in that line of work and not be throwing everything I had at making sure you and your babies were safe and as far away from your ex as possible. How can they sleep at night?

I second everything MrsBertBibby says. Complain in writing to legal ombudsman and head of barristers chambers. Can be done by email. Start the formal complaints process. They should be beside themselves at being reported for incompetence.

I’m just shafted as regards this weekend.
No idea of the wording
No idea of the fact there was a deadline today
No idea whether with the week of abuse and harassment I endured last week if he’s breached the order.

I’ve never known anything like it.
Last week the absence of the above was good enough to stave him off. Nothing has changed in terms of that but this week it now means I have to comply. I don’t get it.

And to think last night I wrote on here last night that I was signing off.
