How did you get through it? Was it really for the best?

Cashncarry · 10/04/2007 16:18

Have been a bit worried about my heightened emotional state recently (keep crying at odd times - proper great big snorty sobs!). Think it might be 'cos GP put me on a double dose on the pill - special doses for lard-arses apparently....maybe I should start my own "is this an oestrogen-overdose" thread?!

Ifonlyhewould · 10/04/2007 16:22

actually, no joking here, but if thats the case then you could well be suffering from a good old case of oestrogen dominance. It's awful
And if that is the case then you have my sympathy.

Don't push it though!!

Cashncarry · 10/04/2007 21:25

Hi Melminx - just logged in again shamefaced after this afternoon's madness! I'm glad your DP has finally found his way home! How are things? Have you managed to have a proper chat - that Sarah sounds completely mental - even more mental than me dare I say

DD is ok thanks for asking. I'm taking tomorrow off work (DH had her today) so hopefully she'll be well enough to go back to nursery on Thurs - my boss was not best pleased when I asked for the day off...

IOHW - hope you're ok [deadly serious emoticon] and that DP is behaving himself tonight...I've said this before but I will say it again - your spirit in the face of the adversity in your life is quite indescribable - I can only hope that by posting alongside you, some of your good nature and humour rubs off on me You've been a good samaritan to an awful lot of MNers this week.

mylittlestar · 11/04/2007 08:13

morning everyone

sorry not around much - it's our busy time at work and I'm actually having to fit some work in around MNing!!

I'm out on a work night out tonight and staying in a hotel, so dh is at home with ds and I'm planning on being in the pub by 5pm!
Although after the weekend I still think I'll be taking it easy on the drinking front - couple of shandy's for me!

IOHW how are you?

melminx · 11/04/2007 08:35

Ifonlyhewould · 11/04/2007 12:14

Good morning everyone

Glad to hear everyone is ok.

MLS i'm sure if you explained to your boss at work that MN is part of your lifeline, essential to you survival, like dialasis (sp)he would understand - we miss you

Thank you for your kind words cashncarry, i do do my best for you guys. I hate to think of anyone being upset, sad or lonely and can quite easily push my own problems aside to help. I love to help anytime
I am still keeping a 'polite' distance from DP so i'm managing ok here. You guys keep me going too. Thanks for thinking of me.
How are you today? Hope DD is feeling much better.

Hi melminx
You sound to be back on top of things at your end. I'm glad it all worked out well for you.
Ive cleared out the garage this morning and have done a tip run. I love going to the tip. Its very theraputic throwing all those bags in those big skips, i took a leaf out of cashncarrys book and used some aggression. I'm knackered now though!

Hope to hear more form you all throughout the day. xx

melminx · 11/04/2007 12:43

hi iohw. totally agree mls should approach her boss with your exact words!

its so quiet on here now. Its very early days but i am hoping that we can get through. Thats also my wish for everyone on here too.Whatever you are going through i want everyone to come out with their wishes fulfilled and completely happy.

back to the ironing!

Ifonlyhewould · 11/04/2007 12:51

Bless you melminx thats a lovely post.

I should be ironing too but don't have the energy at the moment. On top of everything else i battle with an illness that knocks me for six every now and then, usually if ive overdone it with physical activity or stress. Thats why i try to stay caaaaalmmmmm!

OP posts:
melminx · 11/04/2007 12:54

iohw. sorry send your ironing here i'll do it for you.

Ifonlyhewould · 11/04/2007 12:57

bless you! I actaully like ironing. I find it relaxing, i put on some music and i get lost in my thoughts.

I'm not a quitter melminx. I carry on regardless me! Maybe thats why i managed to stick with DP for so long!

OP posts:
melminx · 11/04/2007 13:15

i thought i was the only one who liked ironing! i love doing the washing too and hanging it on the line all fresh and smelling good. Been like it since i was a kid. God thing really with so many kids never run out of laundry to do.

Im giving the iron some time off incase it goes pear on me.That and fact we was all starving. Bit cold here today so kids are vegging in doors. Is your dd enjoying the holidays?

Tanee58 · 11/04/2007 13:18

Hi Everyone,

Well, our threads all seem much more upbeat since the holiday! Hope we can keep it up .

IOHW, hope you get lots of rest. The ironing can wait (I don't do ironing - I figure if I hang things carefully and tweak them, I can get away with it! Either that or I'll be round to Mel's with all my pure cotton and linens . Then she and I can compare secret shoe collections (your're not Pisces, are you Mel?)

PS, my garden is full of bags of bay leaves. Anyone planning some cooking?

Tanee58 · 11/04/2007 13:20

MLS - just to let you know MN is my secret vice at work too. But I MUST resist as I'm the only one in the office today and all the constituents seem to have woken up after the hols and decided to phone in!

melminx · 11/04/2007 13:21

hi tanee. bring it round!! lol im an aquarius. thats it irons had enough of a rest and i need to burn off big fat sarnie i just scoffed. hope your well?
