I haven't done anything for my birthday for a few years because his best friends falls on the same weekend so he always went out for that (and last year I was mahoosively preggers, the baby is 1 a week after me!) so this year I am most definitely doing something!

You definitively deserve to do something for you this year. I'll have ds1 as he breaks up from school on Tues (actually trying to avoid ending up in Blackpool as that's where we always go!), can mamacapes have the dc for you so you can have the day for yourself?

I'd tell him he needs to pick the kids up, take them out for dinner, and then drop them off in time for bed. Try and make sure it's mama capes that answers the door.

He doesn't need to know that you've just spent the evening in with your lovely mum, having takeaway and watching smushy films.
