DH has gone missing

Name changed for this as I don't want this attached to my usual name.

Long story short DH (and his friend) has gone missing and I have no idea what to do!

He went out to friends on Sunday evening around 6. He called at 9ish said he was staying out but would be home approx 10am Monday morning.
All fine as he didn't have work etc etc.
I had a message from his friend st around 2pm Monday saying that DHs phone has died and that DH is really sorry he is late but he'll be home by tea time.
Since then no one has seen or heard from DH or his friend.
I've checked the police custody suite, hospitals, as many friends that I can think of and been round to friends house but obviously no one was there.
I'm worried sick, I can't sleep, can't eat and my anxiety is only letting me think the worst has happened.

I know this is about ranty, sorry for that! I just needed to talk about how scared I am. Can anyone think of a logical explanation to where they could have got to? I need abit of hope that he's okay! Sad

I'm so, so glad your DH is ok, OP. I've been following your thread with my heart in my mouth. My BIL went missing 3 years ago and sadly it wasn't a happy ending at all (some people may remember, there was a big social media search)

I hope things are ok. Hugs Brew

Therealloislane · 16/06/2016 22:05

He appeared only an hour or two ago?

That doesn't explain the unaccounted for days.

Floggingmolly · 16/06/2016 22:10

And still you had to track him down... He didn't even try to contact you when he reached civilisation the hospital?? Does he know you're on the way, do you think, or is there a risk of him doing a runner now he's been rumbled?
He really doesn't seem to want to talk to you.

MeMySonAndl · 16/06/2016 22:11

The fact that he is not in critical condition doesn't mean that he is ok.

Someone can be disorientated, attacked, confused, hurt but as long as is not dying it is not in critical condition.

I really hope that it is only a senseless escapade but the OP is not yet out of the woods. I hope he is not in a bad shape.

AnyFucker · 16/06/2016 22:13

OP, did you realise he has left you ?

The fact he is now in A+E since a very short time ago is somewhat of a red herring

Buckinbronco · 16/06/2016 22:13

Look, OP is at hospital with him and when she posted knew very little about his condition. She didn't know where he'd been for 4 days but she is well aware a few hours in A&E doesn't account for 4 days. No need to express so much impatience - if we find out what he tells op it will come in its own time

NorksAreMessy · 16/06/2016 22:15
Shock
PurpleThursday · 16/06/2016 22:15

Well said buck She has found him now. That's the main thing. And most of us are very supportive and sympathetic of the situation she has been in so we will be here if she needs us.

ScrambledSmegs · 16/06/2016 22:19

Goodness. 4 days? I wonder what his excuse will be.

Juanbablo · 16/06/2016 22:20

Oh my word he's turned up at hospital! He has a lot of explaining to do!

molyholy · 16/06/2016 22:20

Hi op. So relieved he is okay, but I would be fuxking him off when he gets out of hospital.

beenaroundawhile · 16/06/2016 22:30

Thinking of you op and hope there are no more nasty surprises, you deserve the truth and a lot of love.

Hermanfromguesswho · 16/06/2016 22:32

Wow, I hope you get some answers tonight

thisisafakename · 16/06/2016 22:35

Well, Weekend, why don't you say what you think then? You think she made the whole thing up? The POLICE were dealing with it. I would rather put my trust in them than some random from an internet forum sharing it with a few of her friends, possibly a long way away. So, no, I do not think it's at all strange that she didn't want to plaster details on MN facebook account. She had already used social media, presumably in the local area. He had been sighted locally so there was no reason to think he had gone further afield.

NancyJoan · 16/06/2016 22:35

Oh, thank GOD he's okay. Hope you get answers, OP.

HappenstanceMarmite · 16/06/2016 22:36

I'm reminded of Walter White's "fugue state" in Breaking Bad...

Herald · 16/06/2016 22:36

We don't know the circumstances stances yet , yes he could have been on a massive gay , drug fuelled football adventure to France .🙄 But also he may not have been the person sighted locally and could have had some sort of breakdown ..:..lets all wait and see 👍

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 16/06/2016 22:38

I'm so glad it's ended up not too bad, regardless of his seemingly dicuss behaviour. 3 years ago this month there was a way worse ending for a dear friend with very similar circumstances and it's all I could think about today. I'm sorry he's been a prick but I'm glad he's alive.

WeekendAway · 16/06/2016 22:42

I don't necessarily think she made the whole thing up at all.

I think she probably knows more about the true nature of the man and the state of their relationship than she is letting on. I don't think she is as surprised or as worried by his unexplained absence as most people would ordinarily be and I suspect she's had a gut feeling all along that he's just fucked off on some selfish jolly and is making a conscious decision to not contact her. I think perhaps she is in a state of denial about how 'out of character' this actually is for him.

newtscamander · 16/06/2016 22:44

That's lucky, we were all just about the share your missing persons page on Facebook, so it's good he turned up and we don't have to anymore Smile

newtscamander · 16/06/2016 22:45

About to share*

LadyStarkOfWinterfell · 16/06/2016 22:45

Cynical me thinks he's been on a drugs binge and is now coming down and has given himself a panic attack.

hippiedays · 16/06/2016 22:49

Cynical me thinks he is an absolute ar*e and has trotted off to A&E (completing wasting their time) claiming memory loss to give himself some sort of excuse.

hippiedays · 16/06/2016 22:50

^completely

StickTheDMWhereTheSunDontShine · 16/06/2016 22:51

The only rational explanation I can think of for this is some sort of breakdown that his friend has walked and talked him through.

Oh, and a drugs binge :(

I'd go easy until you have an explanation, though. There's plenty of time for bollocking later if it's not an acceptable one.
