DH has gone missing

Name changed for this as I don't want this attached to my usual name.

Long story short DH (and his friend) has gone missing and I have no idea what to do!

He went out to friends on Sunday evening around 6. He called at 9ish said he was staying out but would be home approx 10am Monday morning.
All fine as he didn't have work etc etc.
I had a message from his friend st around 2pm Monday saying that DHs phone has died and that DH is really sorry he is late but he'll be home by tea time.
Since then no one has seen or heard from DH or his friend.
I've checked the police custody suite, hospitals, as many friends that I can think of and been round to friends house but obviously no one was there.
I'm worried sick, I can't sleep, can't eat and my anxiety is only letting me think the worst has happened.

I know this is about ranty, sorry for that! I just needed to talk about how scared I am. Can anyone think of a logical explanation to where they could have got to? I need abit of hope that he's okay! Sad

Well true, if that was them sighted.

We'll just have to wait for the OP's update.

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 16/06/2016 21:35

Phew! I've been reading this all day and really hoping he's ok.
I also really hope he's a decent explanation as to where he's been the last 4 days.
Good luck OP

I was about to.post what wannabe said. Unless it wasn't him the other day and he has been admitted after having spent the last 4 days in a mine shaft he fell into and just been rescued by the Emergency services then I'd be suspecting he thought...oh fuck...there's no excuse for this....unless....I am in hospital.

Glad you have news OP.
Tbh with the info we have so far I am far more concerned for you than himFlowers

But who knows.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 16/06/2016 21:39

weekendaway what are you trying to say?

pushedtothepoint · 16/06/2016 21:41

Glad he's turned up but it sounds like there a lot of explaining needed. Xxx

lougle · 16/06/2016 21:41

I hope you get some sleep tonight.

Good news, I didn't realise you could actually ring hospitals and ask for people, I thought that was something that only happened in films.

I hope no one in my family goes mssing though I have so many hospitals near me I'd be on the phone constantly Grin

I agree with other posters it's all a bit convenient, do you think he's got wind that police are now involved?

BigApple11 · 16/06/2016 21:43

So glad you found him...

YouAreMyRain · 16/06/2016 21:43

I'm guessing he's been "found" wandering dazed and confused and with no memory of who he is or where he's been for four days (I might have been watching too much Breaking Bad though)

FeralBeryl · 16/06/2016 21:44

Is the 'friend' with him at the hospital? I'd be equally fuming with him too.

TeaStory · 16/06/2016 21:45

It could still be a mental health thing.

I'm glad he has been found, OP, and hope things work out okay.

ICanSeeForMiles · 16/06/2016 21:45

He'd be in a critical condition when I was done with him.
Never mind buggering off for 4 days, not getting in touch directly after only going out for a few hours, the worry would be displaced by anger.
And probably his bags being packed.
But I'm not very forgiving, admittedly.

Good news :) hope you get to the bottom of what's happened though

cherrypepsimax · 16/06/2016 21:54

My Dh went missing for 3 days a few years ago . We'd had a row about something ridiculous ( because he was in the depths of depression but refusing to accept or deal with it) and when I got back from walking the dogs he'd gone. He switched his phone off and I couldn't contact him, he stayed with a friend the first night ( who he told not to tell me! But of course who did) and slept rough in the car for the next 2 nights. I had no idea where he was, there was some fuel
Put in the car 200 miles from our home on the 3 rd day, and then much later he arrived at his parents ( who knew he was missing) and his mother asked him for a lift to go shopping! He was in clothes hed slept in for 3 days!! No one rang to say he was there until the following morning. I'll never really forgive his parents for that I was literally out of my mind but no one thought to call me. He then Refused to come home for a further week. He desperately needed to see a gp, had no medication, and was getting no support from his parents who thought there was nothing wrong, and we're just enjoying his visit!! I was getting calls from his work asking where he was, God it was just such an awful time. So, don't expect friends or family to do anything remotely useful and there might be an explanation you can live with. My DH was not coping with our bereavement at all and it totally threw him off the rails, I didn't realise just how bad he was feeling. Hope you are ok OP

WeekendAway · 16/06/2016 21:54

I am the most private person in the world and I particularly hate anyone knowing my family business if it might cast anyone I care about in a less than positive light, but as much as I'd hate to be outed by MN, if my DH was missing for 4 days and it was genuinely out of character and I had no inkling that he might just be up to no good and taking the fucking piss then you bet I'd be sharing a missing message on Facebook with everyone who offered.

KateLivesInEngland · 16/06/2016 21:55

Ha yes it crossed my mind to start searching for a two men missing together Facebook post! Thank god I don't have to now Hmm

rainbowstardrops · 16/06/2016 21:55

I would assume he's got one hell of a lot of explaining to do!
Unless it's particularly believable, I'd be handing him his stuff in a bag

ConkersDontScareSpiders · 16/06/2016 21:56

At least he's been found.

GlitteryFluff · 16/06/2016 21:56

Glad he's been found op, hope he's ok.

samlovesdilys · 16/06/2016 21:56

Am glad to hear he has reappeared, hopefully you can now get some answers...

HelsBels3000 · 16/06/2016 22:01

Glad he's been found. He probably won't be glad when op interrogates him!

Haggisfish · 16/06/2016 22:01

I'd kill him! Hope all is well.
