Good afternoon Thank God.
I am glad that you have had a really nice weekend with your brother in Devon.
It is good to get away.
That is the trouble when you return then you are back with your feelings again!
Try not to think about them, says me! I know that is so hard to do!
Perhaps if you go out and do the weeding it will redirect your mind for a while!
I haven't bathed the dogs because it is not very warm out and I like them to go outside after they have been washed. I have done washing, ironing, tidying up, walked the dogs and made bread and thought about my situation!
I am having a glass of port now.
I hope you have a good evening.
Take care xx Flowers

Hi Hush and everyone.

Hush - just read your post from the other day. I thought it was really brave that you told us exactly how you are feeling.

I hope you have had a good weekend. Xx

Hushabyemountain98 · 30/05/2016 19:34

Hi WTAFF.
Thank you for your kindness.
My weekend has been okay in places.
What about with you?
Did you get to the beach over the weekend?
I hope you are Okay?
xx

OP posts:
WTAFF · 30/05/2016 20:08

No - I didn't get to the beach this weekend. I've been quite ill and this morning Had a massive flood in my new kitchen. Sad

I've given up on today and am currently sulking in bed! Work tomorrow at least. I can't wait!

Hushabyemountain98 · 30/05/2016 20:33

Sorry to hear that you have been ill WTAFF.
Also sorry to hear about your new kitchen flooding.
Has it done much damage?
Thinking of you xx Flowers

PiscoSour66 · 30/05/2016 22:09

Oh WTAFF, that must be so disheartening.
After all that decorating Sad.

WTAFF · 31/05/2016 07:07

Thanks Pisco and Hush. It's drying out a bit this morning.

I think I am going to have to repaint the ceiling but will need to wait until it's totally dry.

I know I haven't really done much decorating in reality (compared to say what a professional decorator could achieve) but I've personally worked really hard for a couple of months and was planning on finishing it off yesterday then this happens!

Anyway, I suppose this is a minor problem
Compared to some in my life!

Hope everyone has a nice positive day today!

ThankGodItsThursday · 31/05/2016 07:58

Well back to work today.
Weather is nice here.
Hope it's nice where you all are. Hope you get your ceiling dried out WTAFF.

WTAFF · 31/05/2016 08:17

Thanks Thankgod. I've got an electric heater and dehumidifier working overtime!

Hushabyemountain98 · 31/05/2016 08:57

Good morning WTAFF.
I am glad it is drying out a bit this morning.
Let's hope the heater and dehumidifier really help.
It must be really soul destroying after you putting in so much effort!

I hope work goes well for you today.
Take care xx

Good morning ThankGod.
I hope work goes well for you today.
It is dull and very windy here today. Glad it is better where you are.
Take care xx

ThankGodItsThursday · 31/05/2016 17:05

Well the weather deteriorated throughout the day and it's now raining!
Work was OK. Busy which is good. I can go for a while without thinking about him.
I've been reflecting quite a bit and I think I'm mourning my future. If that makes sense. I/we had all these plans and now they've gone. It feels at the moment like I have no future anymore. I do miss him day to day obviously but it's the future that worries me the most.
Question for those who are further down this road than me. Did you do/not do anything specific to help you deal with what had happened and move on?

Hushabyemountain98 · 31/05/2016 20:26

Sorry that you have the same weather as we have down here ThankGod. It is miserable out there!
Glad that work kept your mind occupied!
I know what you mean about mourning your future. I feel the same. Please try not to think that far ahead.
I am just a little further on than you so you need one of the other ladies on here to give you some help on how they dealt with their situation and what they did to help them move on. I think time has a lot time do with it!
Thinking of you. Keep your chin up!xxx

Good Morning All,

I hope you are all having a good day.
I have walked the dogs. Cut the grass and done some weeding. It looks asthough we may have rain again.

I am going to get a cup of coffee and then do some housework.
Have a good day xx

WTAFF · 01/06/2016 17:58

How are you doing Hush?

Hushabyemountain98 · 01/06/2016 18:25

Hi WTAFF. Thank you for asking.
I am okay. I have been trying to keep busy to ward off the thoughts going on in my head. That makes me sound a bit of a nutter!
How are doing? How is your kitchen? Has it dried out? Will you have to do more painting?
I hope it is not too bad after all your hard work.
I hope you have a nice evening.
Take care xx

OP posts:
WTAFF · 01/06/2016 18:56

No I definitely understand about the unwanted thoughts. I've developed a bit of a habit of clapping my hands to distract myself. I suppose I must look a bit odd when I do it but if it helps me cope I don't really care what other people think!

The kitchen is a bit more dry today. I think it's going to be at least a week before it will be dry enough to repaint. Angry

Have a nice evening too. Anything decent on the tv that you're planning on watching?

notonyurjellybellynelly · 01/06/2016 18:59

WTAAF that sounds like an aversion technique and it's a whole lot better than me wanting to Tazer myself at times Grin

Hushabyemountain98 · 01/06/2016 19:03

Hi WTAFF.
I do not think we have to worry about what other people think as long as it works for us.
I hope your kitchen drys out soon. Sorry you are going to have to repaint.
I am going to watch Lose weight for Love!! Also The Big C & Me. Not exactly cheerful but they are real life!
Are you planning on watching anything?
xx

OP posts:
WTAFF · 01/06/2016 19:20

Noton - yes, I suppose it is an aversion technique. It was just something I started doing, as it was the first thing that popped into my head when I though 'quick - how can I distract myself?!'

Hush - I'm currently watching Emmerdale. I think I'm probably going to read a book later on.

Hushabyemountain98 · 01/06/2016 19:35

WTAFF I have just watched Emmerdale and now Coronation street!
I wish I could get into reading again. My concentration is still not good!
Enjoy your book later xx

ThankGodItsThursday · 01/06/2016 20:06

Hush I've just put Lose Weight for Love on. Can't believe he said they have at least 25 bottles of wine a week!

Hushabyemountain98 · 01/06/2016 20:30

Hi ThankGod. I can't believe it either!x

OP posts:
notonyurjellybellynelly · 01/06/2016 21:17

Can't believe he said they have at least 25 bottles of wine a week

so in at least one respect they're lightweights.

I love that series and am off to watch this new episode.

Hushabyemountain98 · 01/06/2016 22:22

I hope you enjoyed the programme notonyur.
I watched the The Big C and me afterwards. Not the best programme for me to watch but very well done. Plenty of tears shed by me though! Xx
