Have woken up to a rather damp day. Hoping it will brighten up. Glad I cut the grass yesterday.

I hope that Pisco, louisa, Kirk, madame, ThankGod and tartan are all doing well or as well as we can under the circumstances!

My son comes back from London this evening. So I will have company over the weekend. I have missed him but have not needed to cook! I expect there will be a washing mountain when he gets back. Will have to was and iron it all ready for him to go back on Monday.

I better go and get sorted so I can take the dogs out!

There is a lot of washing. The weather forecast for today is not too good plenty of rain!

I had an up and down day yesterday. I am so worried about my old dog. I think it is nearly time to say goodbye!

Morning all.

It's damp here also. Which is typical. Need to get lots done and the weather is not helping. Was hoping to give the dog a bath outside, need to mow the lawn as well. I'm off to the local tip later. I made the most of having my daughter back from her Dads and got up into the loft and cleared out loads more stuff. When you look at what we have put up the loft that I'm now getting rid of - you wonder why you put it in the loft in the first place!

Hush I'm really sorry to hear that you think it's almost time to say goodbye to your old dog. I know how much you are dreading it.

Hello Hush. Well, it's 3:25AM here and I'm awake..... At least I can hit the shops early i suppose.

I'm so sorry to hear your dog isn't too well. All you can do is make him as comfortable as possible and enjoy whatever time you have left together. Is horrible though. I still miss my old dog who died last year.

It is still pouring here. I have just got wet for the third time. The first twice taking the dogs out separately. Then going to get some food shopping!
Will not be drying any washing on the line today!

I do not think you will be doing any grass cutting or dog washing outside today ThankGod.
You are good clearing out your loft. Our loft is full but I cannot get up there as my dh used to swing up there like a monkey. There is probably another house worth of stuff up there! I am not sure why it gets put up there either!
I hope you get to do something nice with your daughter over the weekend?

I hope your body clock is not giving you too much trouble WTAFF, have you managed some early retail therapy?
I am glad that the hurricane did not affect the area you are in.

I have made an appointment to take my old dog to be put to sleep mid week. He is not at all well. He cannot see, he keeps crying, he can hardly walk very far, he has a job to lay down and get up and his poor skin is just terrible. My eldest son is going to come with me. I am dreading it.

Well I better go as I need to sort the bread out.

Hi gang , sorry not been on since Wednesday , it's my sons last weekend until he goes to uni , guess who wants to come and see us both tomorrow night at 7pm the prick of an ex husband says he wants to help with house jobs ( my son must of told him things need doing he can't/won't do !) I said you can come but you better be pleasant and not do your angry crap , son will be here so he won't be nasty so I think I may ask him some difficult questions that will put him on the spot out of badness lol ! Oh yes and another credit card has come in his name to my address 😡😡😡 going to throw that in too 🙈 Hope Florida fab and hush your dog 🙏😢 what can you come and clear my loft full of old crap

And dear Hush - so sorry about your dog. None of us underestimate your courage in what you are doing for him. It is absolutely the right thing and a sign of your unselfishness and thoughtfulness in putting his needs first.
I hope that you are able to have some peaceful times with him over the weekend.

He has been a great dog. Such a loyal companion for 14 years. I am going to miss him so much. This has been made so much worse by my current situation. Something else I will never forgive the selfish pair for!

I don't really know what to say about your poor old dog. There's nothing I can say that will make the situation better or easier for you, I don't think.

I am thinking about you though and wishing you comfort and strength.

Poor old doggy, and poor you, hush my lovely, having to make a dreadful decision like that, but he sounds miserable and uncomfortable, so you are doing the best thing you can for him. I'm glad your son is able to be with you, it is heartbreaking, I'd be devestated if it was my Jess.

Hello Hush,
Have been busy finishing my decorating and final sort out of the house. On the final run now - just the stairs to be finished and then new carpets fitted later on in the week along with a few bits of new furniture & curtains. Have treated myself to new bed linen as well which will used once everything is sorted. All very therapeutic.
Glad your son will be with you on Wednesday. We will all be with you in spirit xxx
