Sorry that your weather was not so good.
We had it really sunny and hot today.
I am glad your daughter is home again. Sorry that she is full of a cold. I hope you don't get it as they are good at sharing!
I hope the sausage rolls were good.
When my dh first went off I did not want to eat.After a while I used to make a batch of sausage rolls and put them in the freezer and have one now and again when I felt like it.
Did you watch a film?
My son and I watched Rush last night. Which I quite enjoyed.
Then I watched The Shawshank Redemption which is one of my favorite movies.
Try not to think about your daughter going to University. Just enjoy the time you have together.
What a good idea doing some decorating. That will keep your mind occupied.

Finally a nice sunny day. I've wiped down the garden furniture and I'm planning to do some gardening later.
Daughter going to her Dads for lunch and will be back about 4ish.
I'm feeling down again. It's definitely that 'Sunday Feeling'.
I'm seeing my counsellor again on Tuesday.
Hush we've watched two films so far this weekend. We watched Bridesmaids and the final film in the Twilight saga Breaking Dawn part 2. We will probably watch something tonight as well.
I wish I could forget that she's off to University soon - but it's always at the back of my mind. Obviously I don't say anything to her.
Hush, how's your dog? Mine is asleep in his bed at the moment. He is getting lazier and lazier!

I know you cannot forget that your daughter is off to University soon. It is just there is nothing you can do about it and you do not want it to over shadow the nice times you can have before she goes. I know exactly how you feel.

My dog is okay. He trotted through the the woods this morning. He really struggles on the way back though!

I have been shopping this morning. I bought myself a dress for a special occasion this week and a pair of jeans which were a real bargain and actually fit as all my other jeans are too big and I cannot keep them up even with a belt! My son came too and it was very nice.

Have come home and put the bread on. Now I must vacuum through.

Glad that you have lovely weather too.
I was pleased to pick up the jeans and the dress in the size I did. They both felt good.
Felt a bit guilty but why not, I am allowed to have normal things and most of my clothes are too big!

My poor old dog is about the same. He still wants to go for a walk though and he eats and drinks really well.

Another lovely day here. I did loads of gardening yesterday and have done a bit more tonight.
Lawn has been re-edged and in places. Done loads of weeding and cutting back. It's probably too hot really but you have to make the most of the nice weather. It will be raining again in a few days no doubt!
If your dog is eating well, drinking plenty of water and still enjoying his walks then I wouldn't worry too much about him - at least for now.
How did you get on at your counsellors?

Hello - just checking in - I hope everyone is well?

I'm keeping busy. In fact I'm wondering if I'm not too busy. Today, I've walked the dog twice, been to work, done an hour in the gym, finished wallpapering and erected some flat pack furniture! I'm exhausted.

HOWEVER - the kitchen is finished!! I cannot express how happy I am about this.

Sorry I did not post yesterday but I had a busy day.
Visit to my counsellor, taking son shopping and the usual stuff. The a friend stopped by for a cuppa.
I had to be up at silly o'clock this morning for the graduation. Had to walk the dogs at 5am.
Today was great felt so proud to be with both my sons.
It was a very hot but it was a lovely day.
Feel exhausted I am not good in too much heat.
Wow WTAFF you were busy yesterday.
I am so glad your kitchen is finished.

So glad you managed to get a lot of gardening done.
There is a lot of rain forecast for tonight!
It is just so hot!

I know my dog is not well but he is still enjoying life.
I think I will know when he has had enough.
The counsellor was fine. How did you get on with yours today?

Hush sounds like you had a busy couple of days. Was your husband at the graduation? If so how was it?
We did a bit more gardening on Monday evening but none yesterday - it was just too hot plus Tuesdays is my Pilates class. There is still so much to do in the garden, loads that needs cutting back. Will have to keep chipping away at it.
My session with the counsellor was good. She told me to stop anticipating problems before they happen and also that she can see an improvement in me and my attitude since my last session. I have another appointment in just over two weeks.
My friend is popping round tonight in an hour - company definitely makes things easier.
I hope it's a bit cooler tonight - I can't sleep when it's as hot as it was last night.

No my husband was not at the graduation.
It was just the three of us.
It was my youngests decision.

I need to get in the garden and do a lot of cutting back but it is too hot again today. You can only do so much. I hope you will be able to get the garden done over time.

I am glad that your counselling session went well. It is good that she tells you what she sees and that she has seen an improvement in you.
My counsellor told me that I am getting stronger. When I met my dh with our dog about four months ago he left me in a soggy mess. Last week when I saw him with the dogs I stayed a lot stronger.

I hope you enjoy your friends visit tonight. Company does make things easier.

I hope it is a bit cooler tonight. I was so tired last night I slept okay despite the heat!

I have walked the dogs. Not so good in the heat with long fur coats!

What type of shopping were you doing?

I am shattered for different reasons.
I sorted a lot of my clothes today and filled two sacks to go to the charity shop/clothes bank. Still lots to sort. May have to get more ruthless!
Then I cut back some of the trees/shrubs in the back garden and filled a huge builders bulk bag.
Then I cooked dinner. Took my son to the station. I have spent two hours trying to scan some documents for him. It is a wireless scanner/printer. In the end I had to change the settings in the router.

Nightmare!

So now I have a bad neck and shoulders from gardening and sitting for too long at the computer. Going downstairs to unwind before it is time to sleep.

I have a friend on her way to Cornwall and she has been driving for hours too.
I have cut the grass front and back today. Walked the dogs. Done washing.
Made the bread. I am thinking about going food shopping as I have my sister and brother in law coming for dinner tomorrow.
I think I will go a bit later when it calms down a bit.

Hello. My friend came round and suggested we went to the pub for a drink. I looked a bit of a mess because I'd been doing a bit of gardening before she came round but still went. My daughter came with us and we enjoyed a drink in the garden of the pub.
We've been doing loads of gardening whilst the weather has been so nice. Sounds like you managed to do quite a bit of your gardening Hush.
We bathed the dog this morning and I washed all of his bedding so everything is nice and fresh smelling now. He's asleep on the sofa now as is his norm!
I drove down to Devon last bank holiday and it took me 6 hours I bet the traffic is even worse now that all of the schools have broken up for Summer.
Hope everyone is enjoying this spell of nice weather.

I just got some bits and bobs in the sale.

Yes, I'm staying over in the Lakes. It's so busy here its unbelievable! I think the nice weather has encouraged everyone out and about!

Glad you got to the pub with your friend and your daughter and that you enjoyed it.
I am glad that I got my grass cut yesterday. I need to get to the tip early this week to get rid of the grass and all the stuff I cut from the shrubs and trees.
It is good that you have got a lot done in your garden too.
My grass is not looking so good as I have being patches that look asthough they have been bleached!
I have to bath my old dog but I think that will be tomorrow after I have seen my Counsellor. Your dog is not daft lying in the sofa!
I do not envy anyone sitting in holiday traffic for hours. I feel sorry for all these people sitting in queues at Dover waiting to board ferries.

I better go and start cooking dinner for my guests.

Good afternoon all.

I hope you are all having a good day.
I have walked the dogs.
My son and I loaded up the car with all the garden rubbish and queued up at the tip. That has all gone. I can now start again!

I took my son into town. He is having a cinema day. I went to Ikea and bought a small garden table and chairs. A kind of bistro set! I saw a much grander one but elsewhere but it was above my budget. I put it up and it looks fine!
I am contemplating what to do next? I think I will finish the bread off and then get a few food items at the shop and take it from there!

The sun seems to gave gone in. That is probably because I put the table and chairs out! I frightened the sun away!
