Good morning. I hope you slept well Hush and your back didn't give you toouch trouble in the night. It's miserable and cold here too. I think you did well to put the mower together, especially the handle bit as the damn thing keeps moving around when you trying to bolt it together! (Voice of experience!)

Good morning Pisco.
I slept okay thank you. Did you?
My back is a little easier today.
It is horrid here. Have just walked the dogs and they are filthy.
Have just washed their feet!
The lower handle was the first snag as I got one side on but could get the other side where it needed to be. I didn't give up though! Then the top handle was not easy but I did it. Really needed two pairs of hands!
Then I could work out how the box went on.
I attached it but it wasn't right. I was in the front garden when my neighbours husband came in. He took a look and you had to remove a part and then it went in. Simple when you know how!
It is a good job that I did it yesterday as soaked again today.

Husha I do admire you attacking the lawnmower and garden the way you did. You really are quite something. .

I'm not much of a Gardener. . Not that there's much you can do in this climate as so many things die. I also worry about the water the garden takes because it's such a precious commodity here. So a couple of years ago I put down that plastic grass and my water bills went down from 900 pounds a month to about 150 and I'm really happy about it because it just goes to show how much I was wasting on my lawn that had a mind of its own and appreciated no amount of tender loving care whatsoever. Anyway one day I just thought to hell with it and a few weeks later I had really nice plastic grass that gets hoovered a couple of times a week by the odd in man.

I do grow vegetables though. In the winter. I keep me and the children in all the salad stuff and Mediterranean type veg we love so much for about 3 months of the year. I just do it in containers and raised beds and it was only yesterday I put everything away till October. My daughter reckons I save her about 40 pounds a week so it's not to be sneezed at. I love doing it. I grow about 10 different varieties of tomatoes and my freezer is full of lovely soup. I also love sending my boy out to pick a colander of lettuce etc for a salad. Not that he eats it but it keeps him busy for 10 minutes.

I'm away to one of my sons tonight for a BBQ. HE went kite surfing yesterday and came home with 4 lobster though I'm not sure how he caught them - but no doubt there will be a tale involved. . I'm looking forward to it but I'd be happy at home as well. I did a session much earlier today with my PT and I'm still in my gym clothes. For me It's one of those cosy days when you're happy just being at home with a wee side light on, a good book to read, and a wee snifter just because you can.

I am not sure that I am quite something but I did do it. I am not one to give in!
Wow what a huge water bill! I think I would go for artificial grass if I didn't have dogs.
I like the sound of the vegetables and salad though. I have grown runner beans and chilli's. I did also have a lot of herbs but since the building work all I am left with is my bay tree and some chives in a pot. Must start again.
I am glad that your son goes out and picks some for you. Shame he doesn't eat it. Does he like your soup?
I hope you enjoy the BBQ at your sons tonight. Especially the lobster.

It is pouring here and has been all day. It is so miserable looking out there.
Have just been pottering around today.
I keep trying to shut my brain down as I keep thinking how unjust this situation is!

Not sure that it is ever going to stop raining. It is just so muddy for dog walking.
Stuck in again waiting for the parcel that should have been delivered yesterday! Fed up!

I might leave the alcohol alone today, but then again I might not..
