Hello ladies , sorry for late reply , hope you have all had a good day , I have walked up a hill , from a year in bed crying to 15km with 10 of our couple friends , me the only single one there ! But I did I am exhausted , Madame I read that thread too ,but I reflected and thought if he doesn't love her it's for the best , it's when they play mind games it hurts like hell . Friends coming for a curry , son here but out , hush enjoy your son being with you , happy Easter ladies ❤️

This actually made me laugh rather than cry....
I got a message from my young next door neighbour this morning saying she was going away this weekend but a she left she saw the Easter Bunny leaving a tiny gift on my doorstep.
I went downstairs and opened the front door tentatively, peered down at the doorstep, with the sun pouring down on my head and the birds chirping in the trees,

......nothing there!
I live in a tiny 2 up 2 down cottage in a lovely small village in rural Kent....and some twat had stolen my gift!!

Have been NC with ex for a week and its really hurting today. Am normally ok during the day while at work and get emotional late at night but am off work today and have done nothing but think of him.

DD at her friends so all alone too which doesn't help. This might sound really weird but I've been crossing the days off in my diary and putting a big smile every 24 hours I go without contacting him. The first few days after we split I text him a few times about trivial matters just to get a reaction but haven't done so since last Friday which I hope shows Im slowly getting there but oh, it's so hard.

I know how you feel. Weekends are bad for me and others on here and Easter just extends that.
I have my DS here today which helps.
It doesn't sound weird. You do whatever makes you feel better. There is not a right or wrong way to get through this!

I have discovered a new guilty pleasure which is an app called hayu which shows every single episode of every single Real Housewives series...

DH has been up today and has actually been quite useful as I was poorly last night. He's had tea with us and has now gone back to his room! It's such a weird situation and the worse thing is that I'm starting to get used to it. I feel weary and sad now rather than devastated and am still having to take each day as it comes but I'm still surviving :)

Sorry you were poorly. Good to hear that your DH has been quite useful.

Imagine stealing something off a doorstep?????

I fell asleep on the couch today and slept for a few hours. It was marvellous. One of those naps where you hear yourself snoring and it comforts you, it doesnt wake you up. But of course I can't get to sleep now which is why its 2.30 and Im awake.

I have a nice day planned for tomorrow. Im taking all of the big brats and their little brats down to a local hotel as day visitors so we can use all the lovely facilities for the day and enjoy a lovely lunch. We have 9 birthdays over the next 15 days and because my son is still a bit iffy diffy Im not able to have our usual en-masse celebration at home. Its going to be a lovely day

Im glad people seem to have Easter Sunday sorted out company wise

Ah well the hotel was full of holiday makers and no day guests were being allowed in so we just went out for a slap up breakfast before going home for a siesta. Then in the afternoon everyone came here for a swim and when my boy went for his walk we had an easter egg hunt round the house for the wee ones. It was good fun. I didn't have time to cook as it was all done on the spur of the moment so we ordered up pizza from one of those healthy eating places, you know the kind of place that sucks the joy our of eating, but it was really delicious and its not just my words I was left eating. We also had a really decadent Gateaux from a lovely French Patisserie thats opened not far from me, it was 3 kinds of chocolate mousse and very yummy. The children had ice cream.

So a really nice day even though our plans went out the window, and a day made all the nicer because my son coped really well and it was the first time in months we'd managed to have everyone at home. I really lucky with his care team because without them working really hard to keep him on an even keel we'd never have family time together.

Not been as busy today as I thought I'd be so chilling with a cup of tea and MN.

Woke up angry this morning so wrote long letter to ex detailing what a twat he was and why I was so angry. Made me feel better writing it. I then deleted it just in case I was tempted to print and post :)

Nice day, went to nearby beautiful city, coffee with friend and then to Boots ( with friend) and I had my 'Match Made' for foundation (never wear it normally) and lipstick, the lady was very helpful and really did a good job ( my friend agreed) and seeing as it was 3 for 2 I treated myself, first new lipstick in about 10 years!!!
It's really perked me up.
Got home and 2 cards on the doormat, one from my son's grandmother ( ex MIL mark 1, been close to her since 1973). 2nd card from HIS DM ( ex MIL mark 2) saying that they were thinking of me....ooohhhh!
Hush hope you've finished all the washing now?

Good to hear that your son coped really well with all the company. The care team sound indispensable.
