We were heading out for dinner and as I got out of the car it just slipped out.
It wasn't quiet.

I am mortified.

We laughed but I was so embarrassed.

Please tell me these things happen .

How new? Shock

Mabelface · 07/02/2016 22:48

Well, that's that out of the way pretty quickly! You've just moved things on a little quicker than usual, that's all. Wink

Room101isWhereIUsedToLive · 07/02/2016 22:49

We all fart. Fact of life. I know ho we mortifying it can be, in front of other people. But at the same time, we all do it!

Emz449 · 07/02/2016 22:49

Grin all the time! The first time my boyfriend did I laughed so much I had tears streaming down my face. Wasn't so much the action, it was the look of mortification and the slow turning of his head to see if I noticed!

*how

SnowBodyforrrrm · 07/02/2016 22:50

Was it a wet one?

Did it smell?

If no to the above, you're fine. I think us ladies way overthink the whole farting infront of a new boyfriend situation.

RudeElf · 07/02/2016 22:51

Well thats it out of the way now! Grin

GingerCuddleMonsterThe2nd · 07/02/2016 22:53

Haha! It happens.

I remeber when me and DP had been dating a while and decided it was time to be "intimate" shag we had booked a hotel, did the deed then dp botked to the toilet, he had suddenly come down with the D of DandV he was mortified Grin .

Wardrobespierre · 07/02/2016 22:56

Crikey. I'd be so embarrassed. I've managed 17 years so far...

bodenbiscuit · 07/02/2016 22:59

I never fart in front of partners even when I've been with them for years. I don't even do it in front of my children! It's all to do with my repressed upbringing. But I think it would be very shallow of him to be bothered by such a thing.

LondonStill83 · 07/02/2016 23:01

I fart in front of DH all the time.

Oddly I think he thinks it's cute.

Though I can't attest to his mental health (and certainly not my own!)

LemurFingers · 07/02/2016 23:05

DP says I fart loads in my sleep

It's not the worst thing that will happen if you end up having a baby / getting married. He will see a lot worse then.
If he can't accept a natural body function, he has led a very sheltered life. Wink

TheFormidableMrsC · 07/02/2016 23:09

Falling about at the posts on here Grin. OP, just accept you are now on farting terms. Progress!

Rainbowlou1 · 07/02/2016 23:11

I wish I could be that relaxed...we have been together for 12 years and he has never heard that from me...though I don't think that's necessarily a good thing!
If you both laughed don't worry-you have got it over with early days so now things can get nice and comfortable!!

How on earth do you manage 12/17 years? Do you dash out the room when it needs to happen?

😮

hownottofuckup · 07/02/2016 23:16

Hahaha Vocational that's hilarious!

MadamCroquette · 07/02/2016 23:18

For you OP :)

wedding fart

ladymariner · 07/02/2016 23:19

I knew now-dh was the one when, after our first shag when we were lying in each others arms and being all loving and romantic, I sneezed and farted at the same time.....I wanted to curl up and die, but he fell about laughing and asked me if that was my party piece!! I loved him from that moment on, 26 years ago and counting Grin

Ploppymoodypants · 07/02/2016 23:21

Well I farted on our first date. Loudly and no hiding what it was. Been together 10 years now so it didn't put him off. It's now one of our 'funny getting together stories' Grin

WelliesTheyAreWonderful · 07/02/2016 23:21

OP you have nothing to worry about - he knows you fart and so does he! However when I was 21 (paused here to think about name changing but really CBA) I fell through Blush in a shopping centre with my then DP. I had to stand stock still while he went to buy me new trousers then waddle to the toilet. I repeat - you have nothing to worry about!

Dowser · 07/02/2016 23:22

I've got tears at your post vocational,

Just brilliant.
