What's the biggest turn-off you've ever had from a potential BF?

So I was sitting with a gentleman friend watching some violent git on tv murder his ex, beat up his GF... and then the inexplicably forgiving GF crawls into bed and waits for him in a sexiful and alluring manner.

Clearly my response was 'WTF is wrong with her, this is sexist nonsense'...
to which gentleman friend replied to the effect of 'domestic violence is ok if it only happened once, they made up' etc.

No, it is not ok. Keeping well bloody clear of him now!

Any other big turn-off experiences?

Mine was a bit more pedestrian - finding out he strongly supported the death penalty. I'd had boyfriends with whom I disagreed violently on almost all political issues, but I found that really shocking as we'd gelled on so many other things.

The one that had a tracker fitted to my car and life long plans for us, including taking me shopping to buy clothes so I looked 'more appropriate' (more WAG than laid back jeans and a smart top sort of woman), oh, and telling me we weren't going to a party that we had been invited to as he wanted us to have dinner and sex (it would have been the first time we had had sex, I had known him about two weeks at this point). I didn't sleep with him. I didn't find out about the tracker until my car broke down. I did wonder how he managed to accidentally keep turning up to the same pubs/gigs/parks.

Finding out about his wife and 4 kids over the main course. (This happened to me with two different men on first dates...)

But its OK apparently, 'because she really doesn't mind'.

Right. Well I do!!

Exchanged numbers and the first text I got was sexual. The reply from me wasn't.....and the beautiful girl who smashed a shop window while waiting for me on our first date. That went nowhere.

Had one date with a man who was interested in taxidermy and chatted about his work and how pipes were quite interesting really. Eg the ones he started on were 35" diameter whereas.....

He was a teacher; I also worked at the school. I was so desperately in love with him might have been the Porsche.

One day he gave me a serious bollocking as though I were one of the children. It was as though someone had flicked a switch. Every scrap of attraction disappeared.

Mine was, chatting away with a new colleague who I found quite attractive, seemed intelligent enough, then he picked up his man bag and I noticed he had a copy of the Daily Mail. I could have cried.

The one who said "i know your plan, young lady". Apparently as a single mother I wanted to move my "clan" into his (smaller than mine) house. So he was "making sure we took it slow". This was when we met for a drink (not even a date really).

I went speed dating about 7-8 years ago and out of the 25 or so men I ‘dated’ for 3 minutes…

1 sat down and said ‘I don’t want to beat around the bush, I don’t find you attractive so there’s no point in talking’… I actually found this hilarious so snorted and said ‘Sure, fine with me…’ and got my phone out. He then seemed to take um-bridge at the fact I wasn’t offended so said ‘OK, fine.. let’s talk then, what do you do?’ When he found out I worked in I.T. Security and had a Ph.D in Artificial Intelligence, he said ‘Oh, I work in I.T. too… I assumed you were like, a beautician or something as you’ve got blonde hair and big t**ts, I guess I’ve blown my chances, haven’t I?’

Moron.

Then ANOTHER guy sat down and said ‘I’m looking for a woman who can be a Mother to my 3 boys and knows her place, is it YOU?’ I replied that I wasn’t keen on kids, preferred cats and my usual place was 2 steps ahead of any man…… (I believe in equality, just wanted to wind him up!).

Speed dating can be fun if you don’t take it seriously

The one who asked me out while we were sitting chatting. When I stood up he said oh you're taller than I thought. And not in a nice way. I'm not freakishly tall and never had people I've fancied remark on my height. He was average height himself but seemed bothered by this then after a few more digs disguised as humour said his exes were always considerate enough to wear flats.

Not even our first date and already suggesting what I wear, no thanks.

He threw litter out of his car window. All the time.

I was having dinner with a bloke once, (first date) we weren't getting on particularly well or anything. We were waiting for the bill when he asked me without a molecule of humour or irony etc: "what colour knickers are you wearing"?

Just as if he was asking so how was your day? I just sort of chuckled and said something like : "er grey and baggy, now piss off you TWAT"! I stormed off, so he had to pay.

I met a lovely looking bloke in a pub who I really clicked with, right up until he got up and walked to the bar and i heard the sound of Blakeys!

I couldnt muster any enthusiasm after that and kept expecting him to burst into a tap dancing routine

Grey baggies?

I got chatted up by a bloke in a department shop when in my early 20s. He asked me to go round for coffee and as he was quite attractive and I felt flattered although it was a bit weird I went.
He then started commenting on other women in the coffee shop and how he much preferred me to them because they were loud and shrieky and I was quiet and started making plans for coming to visit me (I lived 30 miles from the city I was shopping in) and stay for the weekend and cook me meals.
I thanked him for the coffee (can't remember if we split the bill) and left.
