May I ask a question?

Hello. I am a gentleman of 33, single for just a touch under a year. If you do not object I would be very happy if you could answer a question from a female perspective. I am weighing up whether to ask a woman out for a coffee. She works in a place I go to to socialise. We've exchanged pleasantries and nothing more, although I suspect she has noticed I am frequenting her establishment with increasing regularity. So, the question. If you were asked out by a man whom you were not interested in getting to know further (just looking at the worst case scenario) in an unthreatening manner and environment, is there any harm done to you as the person receiving the invite? In other words would I be putting the other person unintentional ly in a difficult position should they for whatever reason need to decline, or as I perhaps naively hope, would what I hope is a warm feeling of being flattered still be there if you don't fancy the person who asked you out . Apologies for a mealy-mouthed post but really Id love to hear what you think.

Hello. I am a single dad with 3 kids. I have made my tax credit application and i am waiting for a decision. My question w
Is...i have a friend that moved from another city and had his adress changed at my house. After that he left in his country and he received a tax refund check at my adress. Now after 3 months he camed back and we called HM revenue to change the check as it wasn't valid any more. He put my adress again to recive the check and my name on it so i can put his money on my account as he doesn't have a bank account only a pay as you go card. He doesn't live with me and he does not have a job. Do you think that this can affect may claim? I mean can HMRC see that he used my adress and be in trouble? Thank you

And I wouldnt go on holiday without my child because I fucked up.

ladyjadie · 19/09/2019 08:55

Omg HOW are all these randoms still finding this particular thread to ask their completely unrelated questions?!😂

Igetknockeddownbutgetupagain · 19/09/2019 11:03

Laughing. This thread is WEIRD.

But also, I want to find out if Mr Gaafan got married to the lady he went on a date with?

meccacos2 · 19/09/2019 16:32

This is easy, people are more likely to start relationships with people they are exposed to regularly - which is why people who work together or live in the same apartment complex often hook up.

All you have to do is be nice, kind and not creepy. If you like her, ask what time she will finish work and if she wants to grab a coffee.

You can say you’re going there after anyway because you need caffeine - then it’s not creepy. You’re going there anyway.

@hembery what did you do?

Hello this is my first ever post so please bare with me!

My partner and I have been together for ten years and have a child and a mortgage together. When our child arrived we talked about who's surname it would have and my partner said well if one day we get married and the baby takes your name it will be difficult to change its surname. My partner has been previously married and that didn't last long and I feel he's been scarred from that to marry again. I feel like I am being punished because of what happened with them and now I won't ever be able to get married. I feel like ten years is a lot to be with someone without a proposal and also feel that I have been tricked into our child taking his surname instead of mine. I know people will comment saying why don't you propose to him, but I don't agree with women proposing. I know everyone is different but I am traditional.

When the subject is brought up my partner just says well we can't afford it. (We could afford a small wedding) and I want my dad to be able to give me away. This is affecting my mental health as I can't help wondering why am I not good enough but his ex was good enough? I think about this every day and I'm not sure what to do. I love my partner, he is a good dad to our child and a hard worker so I don't want to loose him but this is really important to me and it hurts.

Thank you for reading my post
