Well he wasn't because he wasn't real, but you get my drift.

SlightlyJaded · 09/06/2015 19:03

I have been here for years pre river of sweetcorn years And I completely fell for it.

But more importantly NOOOOOOOOOOOOO PLUMBER-PANTS was also a Hairy Trucker?????????

My radar is malfunctioning.

BlackCake · 09/06/2015 19:04

Fuck me. I was well suckered in Sad.

Although on reflection, the OW sounded like Kathy Bates in Misery.

Deary me.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/06/2015 19:05

He was a top civil servant who gave it all up to look after his brothers cat. He just couldn't keep it in his pants.

MrsSheRa · 09/06/2015 19:07

It was just too wordy for someone who'd found out such graphic stuff about their husband.

Just read the bit where "she" wrote, "think i'll look for an audio book. " to help her sleep, presumably.

Who the fuck would look for an audiobook after witnessing the atrocities she was supposed to have seen

usualsuspect333 · 09/06/2015 19:07

Plumber pants and her nix was indeed a troll.

Probably the same one as 'Dev'

summersnowshowers · 09/06/2015 19:14

This is genius- thanks for the updates!

You lot should write a book!

JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/06/2015 19:18

She was a wife, a mother of two horse-riders with an office with it's own door.

She didn't know that he had a sordid feline friend...

HolgerDanske · 09/06/2015 19:18

Ahaha oh dear.

It did all seem just a little too neat and tidy didn't it...

JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/06/2015 19:19

(This is the film 'sordid' starring dev from corrie - as dev)

GinSoakedBitchyPony · 09/06/2015 19:19

Plumber pants was deleted? I reported very early in that thread and was told I was mistaken.

teatrailer · 09/06/2015 19:20

Where I come from a top civil servant is the Postie.

AcrossthePond55 · 09/06/2015 19:20

Well, I've put down the book I was actually reading in exchange for this lovely tale of betrayal, heartache, and cats. Oh, and poofy wedding gowns. I'm enthralled, ladies. I must find out what happened to the horse. My guess is the poor thing had to go for a stint at the Betty Ford Clinic due to an addiction to tranquilizers brought on by depression caused by this betrayal. But will he recover in time for Rio? Only the 'author(s)' know if Dobbin and DD1 will emerge triumphant!!!

jenkait · 09/06/2015 19:21

Hi! I registered just to comment on this thread. I was reading it, and I thought the username sounded a bit much...I believed her at first, though. Then I started having my doubts, since she seemed to have so much time to be on here and speak eloquently/graciously about it all...and it really started to sound a bit cookie cutter and unimaginative.

My question...WHY do people do stuff like this? Are they bored? Psycho? 14 years old? ...I would've thought this was hilarious as a teen, wind people up and see what happens. As an adult I can see that people are getting invested and upset. Honestly, what drives people to do something like this? I'd love to know what others think.

ClareAbshire · 09/06/2015 19:24

Amazing thread! Love it!

MagicalMrsMistoffelees · 09/06/2015 19:26

JohnFarleysRuskin - (This is the film 'sordid' starring dev from corrie - as dev)

This made me chuckle so much!!

Dev from Corrie starring as our beloved, betrayed 'Dev' - outstanding!

TealFanClub · 09/06/2015 19:27

'He was a top civil servant who gave it all up to look after his brothers cat'

Once back in the leather seats of my Audi ( yes- its personalised SU51) I slumped, dejected

Lovely friend was right - but... where IS lovely friend? she wasnt answering her top of the range phone..and yes, that cat like woman did look familiar.

racing home, i threw off my carefully chosen clothes and removed my make up with creme de la mer. SOME standards will never slip!

I smiled, wryly, into my cheval mirror.
Then remembered DOBBIN, poor old Dobbin.
I had better go and check the new groom had put him away for the night....

I had some doubts about the fact that the first thread title said 'I feel sick' but first post said 'I have BEEN sick' - thought it was a bit strange but ignored it because I am a credulous sucker!

The groom is sweeping out our newly painted stables, thanks God Rex is finally paying maintenance and we can upgrade the loose box.

Leaning against a gate I watch transfixed as he slowly finishes, knowing I am there but yet, not turning around. He leans the broom against the wall, I purse my lips slightly, he knows it goes in the tack room. Then strolls towards me, lighting a cigarette as he draws close. Damn he knows it's forbidden, I try to say something and the words don't quite reach my lips, stopped as his crush down on mine and he draws me into his arms, as if knowing my knees would gently buckle with his force.

For one fleeting moment I think of DD2 and her unrequited love for Groom (struggling for name) but then who am I to refuse such passion after everything I have been through don't I deserve something?

Fairy13 · 09/06/2015 20:00

For fuck sake. 4 years I've been knocking around for.
My troll dar is defective.
