Hello, tis me, Mouse

Welcome to the Bus. It's a Bus full of drinkers, non-drinkers, occasional slurpers, sneaky sippers, we're all a very different bunch but we ALL have the same thing in common.

Alcohol.

We all have a story or two to tell, we have all been through some terrible times, some more than others and we all have our reasons for drinking or even not. Smile

The one true wonderful thing about this Bus is that we don't do judging!! We're all on a even playing field, no matter what has brought us to this thread.

So, if you'd like to talk, then talk. If you want to lurk and see how we work for a while, that's cool too :)

The Bus is never full, there's always is room for YOU.

And, if you'd like to see what started this off, amost good 5 years ago now, have a look at A TRULY AWESOME HEARTFELT THEAD HERE

And our last thread is just here too for those who would like some more history THIS IS WHERE WE'VE JUST BEEN

Hope to see you soon :) xxx

Yeah, a shitting pants icon due to cash flow would be good here too....although we have been able to invoice a bit this week. Of course, we now have to chase and hassle for the bloody thing to be paid. Our funding grant, upon which such a lot depends is now a month overdue and after sending a snotogram got the reassurance that everything was in place and it would take another 10 to 15 days to make the payment??? WTF? I could walk to HQ in fucking Aldershot in that time and pick up a cheque!!!!!
Got my biopsy tomorrow , crosses legs and winces in anticipation......

guggenheim · 30/04/2015 19:11

Chuck a couple of bhajis on for us then, lovely.

I am fatter than ever, still bloody drinking and very, very cross about it. I started drinking again because life had gone tits up and,now I'm just drinking because I can. Sheesh!

I have a cheeky glass of tonic water on the go and am not going to drink today. Have been very grumpy with dh- which is entirely my fault because I drank all that red last night, not him.

Anyway,I am chilling out wearing a particularly sexy horrible pair of pj bottoms, sipping my tonic water and beginning to feel a bit less sorry for myself.

Anyone on Soberistas? Is it worth the fee?

guggenheim · 30/04/2015 19:13

x post with ma

Biopsy? Will read back and check that you are retrospectively ok.
that made sense to me

dementedma · 30/04/2015 20:11

Yeah cervical biopsy. Thats going to hurt huh?

Otterwa · 30/04/2015 20:24

Thanks for all the welcomes.

Cervical biopsy, don't they use some numbing gel/cream?

I had mirena coil swapped recently and they used numbing gel.

dementedma · 30/04/2015 20:37

I hope so. Not looking forward to it......

HandsThatDoDishes · 30/04/2015 20:57

Ma I had a colposcopy and loop excision several years ago. You'll be fine I promise Smile xx

Emotional few days - totally exhausted. Went into Asda today, they were selling 6 bottles of wine for £25. I resisted - I knew I'd easily get through them all over the bank holiday weekend!!

Love and hugs to all the babes xx

guggenheim · 30/04/2015 21:12

Hope it goes ok,hope it's a teeny tiny needle and over with bloody quickly.

hands glad you resisted the 6 bottles, bank holidays are fatal for drinking too much.

Whoo hoo first af night in ages,am slightly better tempered.

Otterwa · 30/04/2015 21:18

Hope it goes ok ma and that they offer anaesthetic. Well done for resisting the wine hands.

I was already worried that it was nearly the weekend and whether I would be able to keep off the wine but it's a bank holiday Smile Shock

Fairenuff · 30/04/2015 21:24

venus well done for going swimming every day. I know that's hard to commit to for a fellow exercise-phobe Grin

Seen/felt any benefits yet?

guggenheim · 01/05/2015 07:48

MORNING! BOING! Have been up since 6.15 and I'm not hung over and my stomach doesn't hurt and i have been pleasant to dh!!!!

Am just a fat old bag but not a fat, hung over old bag today.

I will not be drinking today, unless it goes utterly tits up.

dementedma · 01/05/2015 12:31

well, that didn't go well

they couldn't complete the biopsy as I apparently have thrush! never had that before in my life! I now have to go back next week as "a matter of urgency".
I am only just holding it together..................

HandsThatDoDishes · 01/05/2015 12:41

Oh what a crap thing to go through. I'm sure everything will be ok. Have they given you something to get rid of the thrush? Sending love and hugs Flowers xx

guggenheim · 01/05/2015 14:09

Oh blimey. I hope they gave you some treatment for the thrush? What a big and stressful waste of time. FFs!

dementedma · 01/05/2015 14:45

yeah, they gave me cream and a pill and a pessary and instructions not to mix them up. it all hurt a lot and I have to go back next week while they do it all again.
I am in work, trying to save the company. My "colleague" has just phoned asking me to deal with her client as she's only just back from Glasgow (by train) and is resting at the station as she feels a wee bit travel sick!
I have fucking had enough!

Mouseface · 01/05/2015 17:32

Evening, tis me, Mouse

Does anyone know who I am? Grin

Ma - kill her.

venus - I love swimming but can't because a0 I still have my arm in a cast and b) my Sacroiliac joint is agony! Good on you x

Hey to Hands & Otter - welcome Smile sorry for not saying hi sooner. Blush

Lol mouse good to see you!

venusandmars · 01/05/2015 18:11

ma that sometimes happens with strong antibiotics - they kill all bacteria including the good ones. My dp also had gut problems after anti biotic so took a course of yakult drinks after the antibiotics were finished.

But look on the bright side - no sex while you have thrush.

Hi babes. Quick check in. Got the official email about losing those jobs yesterday after much insistence on our part. No apology, no admitting they lied, no explanation. Just a 'not happening' email

Found out on ds's birthday so after having a good cry and a rant to the union had to pretend to be happy while family came round, then went to my room and quietly got sloshed there

Union have gone ballistic and are going public on it and we are putting in a group grievance and threatening legal action if we get compulsory redundancy as a result of this. But the job I loved had gone now, and so even if we win it will be a pyrrhic victory. And due to the nature of where I work the person who is responsible could be gone after the election so will never have had to face us or the consequences of his action. Power mad, sociopathic twunt

Have had lovely emails from the client I lost which made me cry

Two teleconferences today - one with the union and one with our lying bastard manager. And that's it. At home for the near future. Spent today watching a box set of Dexter (wishful thinking!) and wankbadger already getting irritated with me being in the house. No idea what I'm going to do. Still drinking. Want to stop as it's a bit compulsive - I have nobody to talk to and it's the only way I can make the panic and rage go away.

Ma - sorry about your biopsy. You just can't catch a break can you? Big hugs lovely

Hi to everyone else and sorry not to nc but got to take dd to gymnastics now so in a rush

Really need to stop drinking because it's not helping. Got a party here on Sunday though so feeling like, well, why stop now as will have to get booze in for that if you see what I mean. I'm pathetic.

Also can you all stop describing yourself as fat old bags? Because I have an image in my head of boarding the bus and being faced with lots of Sissy and Ada look alikes in curlers and headscarves, legs akimbo and clutching a handbag like a suitcase!

I know you are all gorgeous really

Sorry to moan and run. Back later, luffs you all xxx

dementedma · 01/05/2015 19:44

Help! Sent an email which should have gone to lovely boss but has gone to client instead! Have logged in to work PC remotely and recalled. I got a out of office when I sent it so fairly sure it hasn't been read yet. How do I know if it has recalled? This is the client we owe a lot of money too......o dear God.fucked up big time.

dementedma · 01/05/2015 19:45

hope so sorry. Hang in there babe

lookingforhope · 01/05/2015 20:10

Oh dear Ma I am not sure you can recall emails unless you are on,the same Microsoft exchange server (ie in,the same organisation as the recipient) How bad was it? Can you explain the mistake to them? I have done that before though mine was to someone who annoyingly had the same name as a friend of mine in the organisation. He was a senior manager too but thankfully saw the funny side...
