He went out to work yesterday morning and didn't turn up. My mum got at phone call from them at 10am asking where he was. He's 26 and lives at home, but is v shy and reserved person, def not a 'lad'. He's now been out all night and my parents have called the police. They are both so worried and I feel so far away from them right now .

That's it really...

fairyjay · 07/10/2006 08:07

You are absolutely right to give some time to your own family.

makemineadouble · 09/10/2006 07:42

Not looked in since Friday Really hope you have good news today x

israel · 09/10/2006 12:32

Just thinking of you Maewest...any news of your brother?

Spookler1 · 09/10/2006 12:37

I've been wondering too.

maewest · 09/10/2006 13:23

We still haven't spoken to him BUT the police have confirmed that he has been using his debit card in Cornwall, and that he has bought another train ticket today. We hope this means he is heading home. It's really strange, but the town he went to is the place I would have chosen if I was to do something like this myself (not that I'm considering it!).

I will let you know if we have further news, but at least it seems he's out there.

I am so pleased that he is out there doing something...and the police are able to keep you informed.
Keep strong....and give him lots of love when he returns.
God bless

Just got off the phone, the police have contacted my mum and were able to tell her that my brother is towards Stockport. She checked the fixture lists, and sure enough, Stevenage have an away match there tomorrow night. She's going to get in touch with the co-ordinator of the supporters club, who knows my brother well, and ask him to keep an eye out. My parents are considering going to the match, but not sure whether this is the right thing to do.

This confirms that it is definitely him, but can't help feeling more than a little cross that he hasn't called my parents. I think he doesn't realise how much they care about him. Maybe if one of his football mates talks to him, it may get through to him. Fingers crossed.

leander · 09/10/2006 17:23

Sounds positive, glad he is safe.

cupsnakes · 09/10/2006 17:25
