Hello, I'm Mouse :)

Welcome to the thread, or our mythical Bus called Gerald! Grin

There is room for everyone. Always

There is help for everyone who wants it. Always

There is unconditional support and kindness. Always

We have two sentences that we believe in here -

    • The Vulnerable Need Our Support, Not Our Judgement
    • Alcohol Fosters Inertia

No matter what it is that you drink, how much, how often, we've ALL been in your position at one point or another...... so most of us WILL know exactly what it's like to be YOU

If you'd like to read the last thread, it's below -

THIS IS THE PREVIOUS THREAD

And if you want to read a pretty sobering thread and the history behind these many, the reason why we are all here, fighting to stay/get sober is here -

FIRST EVER BRAVE BABES THREAD

Hope to see you soon :)

Mouse x

Yes, just feel free to twitter on about anything. How do you think this ole bus has kept rolling for four years Grin

Ma weather is awful here too, we have had a big roast dinner and are watching Blair Witch Project with eyes closed the curtains drawn. Ds hardly ever joins us for a movie but even he is on the edge of his seat!

Justpickone · 10/08/2014 16:33

4 years is impressive.

Now, if any of you have tips on how I can make a roast dinner using the power of my mind that would be grand...

dementedma · 10/08/2014 17:37

I wish I knew just.
Dh has redeemed himself slightly by cooking dinner. Ds has apologised for his shitty behaviour yesterday. I have found a brilliant image about drinking which I want to link to but haven't figured out how.....bear with!
I'm tired.
I want to be away with sexy eyes in a secluded cottage somewhere.....

littlewhitebag · 10/08/2014 17:39

Good afternoon peeps.

I have been channelling my inner domestic goddess this afternoon. I have made a coffee and walnut cake, chocolate brownies and a rhubarb crumble. I have a delicious smelling roast chicken in the oven and my jam pan is full to the brim with rhubarb and ginger jam.

I just wish i could do all this and actually look like a goddess at the end. Instead i look like a fluffy haired, sweaty mess with chocolate smears all over my face like a naughty 5 year old!

I have enjoyed my afternoon in the kitchen. It's just a pity i am doing weight watchers...

dementedma · 10/08/2014 18:43

Coffee and walnut cake is my absolute favourite.
I presume its for sharing......?

littlewhitebag · 10/08/2014 18:44

Absolutely ma. Bring the bus round here. Tea and cake for all!

venusandmars · 10/08/2014 19:01

Whoah! I wrote a really long post yesterday. I mentioned everyone, everyone. I had kind and supportive words, I had humour, I had repartee (whatever that is)... I had everything. And then I bastard lost it.

And now, now you've ignored completely my lost page and you've galloped on 2 pages.... so nothing I said was of any consequence anyway. Hurrumph!

venusandmars · 10/08/2014 19:04

wry did you know that I'm a celebrant? So now you've got the dress the venue, the ambiance , the person to do the ceremony, we're all set for a bus wedding....

Oh... a groom? Where is he?

" Dadsnet! Dadsnet! "

spanna41 · 10/08/2014 19:24

spanna41 · 10/08/2014 19:29

Rhubarb not plum, I can read, honest Confused

venusandmars · 10/08/2014 19:30

OOh an if you're looking for instant excitement, then google skellow; GOSH!

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 19:37

Grin Grin You're on venus!

I've got my first song and everything , Fred Astaire's "cheek to cheek" from Top Hat. Coincidently that's my second choice of frock but fear it may be prohibitively expensive..

Fred. I would like to marry Fred. Please.

spanna41 · 10/08/2014 19:38

OOOOOh my Venus Blush

aliasjoey · 10/08/2014 19:44

What the hell was THAT ?!

Ooohh my eyes

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 19:46
Shock

Are you suggesting the groom should also wear white, venus?

Or are you suggesting I should catch the bus to Skellow for to find my true love?

Grin
spanna41 · 10/08/2014 19:46

Wry wonderful, gawd I wish I could dance like that !

greeneyed · 10/08/2014 20:13

loud thump greeneyed hits the bottom. I know it's been a long long absence but do you mind if I crawl back on for a while?

I'm afraid I've not much to offer at the moment but I would be so grateful of a comfy seat at the back, a duvet and just some company x

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 20:21
venusandmars · 10/08/2014 20:22

green ignore all our nonsense, slip on to the back seat, snuggle up and relax. You are always welcome here x

venusandmars · 10/08/2014 20:29

wry the odd things is that SKELLOW is just a little village near Doncaster. If you google Doncaster, or Prestonpans, or Anersham, (or any other town close to you) you get a map and a little picture of something relevant. For some bizarre reason the Skellow link has a rather 'surprising picture Shock Smile

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 20:44

Oh no! Skellow man has disappeared!!!

I haven't got him on the back seat, honest

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 20:55

No fear, I have preserved him Grin (not in rhubarb and ginger though)

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 10/08/2014 20:56

If anyone would like the link I shall post it. I did toy with putting just the picture up and not the blog bit but would hate to cause offence to fainthearted towels.

venusandmars · 10/08/2014 21:05

wry preserving in rhubarb and ginger sounds kind of 'sticky'..... yuk!

How on earth have you still got the link?
