I had a fantastic time today.

last minute change of plans. he has been away all week with work and was knackered and overslept and missed the bus.. damn you non drivers. so I went to his instead.... so grill pan still uninspected.
I did make him promise to look at it the next time... he looked a wee bit scared

took my naice ham sandwiches and had a picnic in the interval iyswim!!!

was actually lovely. he seemed much more relaxed and was talking about his next lot of time off and what we could do together at the end if the month etc.

so all in all am a very happy camper!

Neil don't give up on OLD we don't all lie about our ages - to be honest I hadn't even thought about it - doh perhaps that is where I am going wrong.

I know it has it's faults but I still think Tinder is the best . Swipe to left no and swipe to the right yes. I find it amusing and have met two very nice fellas on there. Ok it doesn't have the traffic so is a slower pace but it is faster than doing nothing and hoping to meet someone in RL.

Neil My profile is 100% honest. Don't think we all make up parts we don't like. I have a really bad phobia, I have even included that as I feel it's right prospective daters know. My age is truthful, like I said, all my profile is.

I'm not sure there is a 'best' OLD site, we all like the one(s) we like. I can't use or even see Tinder as I have a windows phone, but Itwill says it's ok, why not give that a try?

I agree Neil don't give up on it. maybe just a break. I was truthful about my age too. and everything else and very honest about my situation too.

You'd probably set me up with Katie Hopkins so she could go on This Morning and tell everyone I've got a grubby northern accent, I earn less than 40k so I'm a peasant and I complained in bed when she gave me a dutch hand grenade.

neil I wonder if you looked at all our profiles if they are similar to what you have already seen... in which case it may be that these ladies are just like us but desperately trying to make a good impression and loosing themselves in the process.

or maybe the way you worded it is attracting the wrong type?

also how did you play it? did you actively read profiles and message girls? how did you choose who to message? or did you wait for them to come to you?

from my experience it was the men who were actively looking iyswim and approaching the girls... I am guessing that is easy for us to say as women waiting for the message to pop up but harder for the poor guys who have to take a chance and make the first move

also a good picture makes up for a thousand words. doesn't have to be anything special but an honest smiley one

I must admit I didn't go trawling through the site looking for women I liked the look of. I just read my messages and looked at the senders. After a while, I got a bit disheartened and bored.
I might see if there's a site where you can look at profiles before joining.

Neil- maybe that's where you went wrong. I never messaged anyone on there as I'm afraid of rejection so I've always left it to the man to message. However if mr nice doesn't work out then I'm going to start messaging the nice men first. I figure I have nothing to lose. You need to start messaging or at least adding them as favs. I bet you would get much more normal women that way.
