and am trying to gather all the bits I will need together, as he will be looking into whether I am entitled to legal aid today. So far I have wage slips, marriage certificate, tax credits information, mortgage statement & some mortgage info from the move into this house.
Trying to get everything together while H is sleeping at my Mum's house (he has been on nights & doesn't want disturbing!)
Does anyone know if there is anything else I need to take along with me, as I am in a bit of a fluster!

Sorry - probably gave you heart failure there! Just what you need!

Lemmingswife · 16/08/2006 17:49

You're ok, Blu! I was thinking similar thoughts myself! She SHOULDN'T know, as I haven't told her, but if the sneaky snake is up to old tricks, she may know now!!
What WOULD give me heart failure, would be a post on here by someone going by the name of LW'smum!!!

OP posts:
Lemmingswife · 16/08/2006 17:50

Or Dad!!

Blu · 16/08/2006 17:54

They'd both get a good run for their money with Mn-ers willing to debate their points of view in accordance with the MN Philosophy, of course! They could join a clique, come to a meet-up, or join a swap thread.

stephanieplum · 16/08/2006 21:11

We could swap them Blu! Interesting thought! Who woudl we get to be LWs swap parents?

Lemmingswife · 16/08/2006 21:45

Swapping them sounds interesting! Can I swap them for some nice supportive, understanding parents please?!

Mum came round earlier & asked if I had been to see the solicitor again. I lied & said I hadn't, as I don't want her having anymore info atm.

OP posts:
Blu · 16/08/2006 22:29

How was she about it all in general?

Blu · 16/08/2006 22:32

(lw - I haven't been e mailing you because my mail from home is so clumpy I can't find addresses so I tend to use the 'reply' facility only - and it's hard to search for messages further down my in-box. Pathetic, I know, I'm a hopeless luddite, but e mail me?)

No worries, Blu! You have been talking to me on here! My internet was playing up last night, so I have only just got back on line properly. I will send you a mail as soon as I get a quiet moment!
Mum was her usual self last night. She has already bought H a birthday present for his birthday in December!! Think they are in some kind of denial!

have caught up with you now - at least things are on the move then, sort of. daresay you'll look back on this in years to come when youre sitting on a beach somewhere and think 'piece of cake', by then of course you'll be chasing after the grandkids

Lemmingswife · 17/08/2006 20:32

Scary thought, SDO3!

OP posts:
stephanieplum · 17/08/2006 20:37

I am looking forward to my grandchildren to be honest! I can give them back when they cry or annoy me and do all sorts of things with them that as their mother I might have to frown upon!

singledadofthree · 17/08/2006 20:57

i too will be on a beach somewhere, not so sure i'll let the kids know which one tho never mind the grandkids. will be off reliving me youth and making up a bit of lost time...not that i'm doing that now of course - me being a good lad . my kids are all nearly grown tho and its a long time since i went thru all the crap you'll be jugling soon, but if a dimwitted fella like meself can do it then you'll find it a walk in the park.

Lemmingswife · 17/08/2006 21:07

It's hard whether you are male or female, SDO3.
Do you have custody of your children?

OP posts:
Lemmingswife · 17/08/2006 21:42

Blu, have mailed you.

OP posts:
singledadofthree · 18/08/2006 16:01

nah, there was no need. was when judges were leaning away from custody towards residence - altho i dont see the difference. ex realised a bit late that she wasnt gonna win it so dropped the action against me. i let it go at that without an order being given. just cost me a couple of grand for the pleasure of popping down to court a few times, and all the sol appts of course, and loads of the usual stuff.
see - if i can do it anyone can

Lemmingswife · 18/08/2006 17:33

H was going on about how he thought we should try mediation before getting any solicitors involved. He has it set in his mind how he feels the money from our house will be split, & feels mediation may be all we need!
I obviously already have a solicitor involved!

OP posts:
Caribbeanqueen · 18/08/2006 17:49

He has a lot of things set in his mind, but unfortunately for him he doesn't automatically get his own way anymore does he?

As if you would agree to his terms without a solicitor. Ha.

Hi, dino. Hope you are enjoying your break. I wasn't around last night, as I was out on the town with some friends!
We have two lots of viewers coming to look at the house this morning, & H has gone round to my parents house to start work on their decking, so it's my job to show them round. He said "If they ask if we have somewhere to go, tell them we are renting."
I am not going to say this, as I don't want the house selling yet.
He said that if we have no joy from either of the viewers today, he is definitely dropping the price, as he is fed up of this.

Nasty h. Yopu sound like you are getting more and more sorted by the day though, lw, despite the massive stress levels.

Lemmingswife · 19/08/2006 13:03

Sh*t! Agents have just phoned & H answered. It appears BOTH of this mornings viewers have made an offer on our house & H has accepted one of the offers.
