Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

Just had another warm bath. Three really strong contractions whilst in it. Not sure whether to rest or walk about?! I have a feeling this is going to take a while......

I totally get the disconnected thing. I remember being in labour when I had DS2 that I was a bit freaked out because Pregnant is a condition that I was going through. Having A Baby was something else altogether! I was about to make the world one person bigger!

Do whatever you feel is right. If you want to rest then rest, if you want to walk then walk. Follow your body, she will steer you right :)

On my doulas advice am now attempting a snooze. Just tucked myself up in bed. Lying on my left to encourage baby into good position. Lets hope for some rest for what is to come.

Just nearly jumped out of my skin. Excuse any swearing from now onwards. Trying to doze again but Christ this hurts.

No sleep yet, but trying to rest deeply. Pain levels are up but slightly less frequent so every 4 to 5 minutes lasting a minute at a time. Not able to keep quiet through them now. My doula is having a sleep at the moment I hope. I just had to get out of bed and take a wander back out to the patio.

It can't be long at all now, are you planning to stay home now?
I can't believe how you've managed to do all the things you have today whilst in labour. Incredible.

Planning to stay home a good while, my favourite MW ever comes back on shift at 7am so acrobat may be waiting for him. He was the only one who could cannulate me during my early HG admissions and is so kind and caring.

Ah yes that must be it, acrobat clearly has very discerning taste in who they want to make an appearance for.

All getting more intense here. Managed to make a piece of toast in between 3 or 4 contractions so it was cold by the time I got to eat it, but something made me so hungry. Running another bath now and if that does nothing then I guess I will be back to hospital soon ish. I think I am making sounds like a cow.

It's a beautiful morning though.

And the nice mid wife will be there for you when you arrive! Stars are all aligned. Staying awake until DS next breastfeeding session for news of progress.

I hope I can work out how to start a new thread off my phone.... There are just around 80 posts left. I'm kind of heading off to a zone now though and back to hospital pretty soon I think. Much more intense and getting clumps of contractions.

Hope you are back at hospital, being looked after by the nice midwife. Can't be long now.

Just popping in to say "hurray"... will be nibbling my nails all morning waiting for news.

Forget Prince George, I think there will be far more people awaiting the arrival of Baby Acrobat :)

On my phone there's a big button under the current heading start a new thread. I'm not on the app but do remember it being even easier on there.

Now don't worry about keeping us updated (trying to not be selfish! ) and concentrate on getting young acrobat out safely!

Oooh, Waves, you've been doing brilliantly, sounds like giving birth is your forte! Great you've been able to be at home for so much of your labour, best place really. Hope you get the lovely midwife you want and look forward to hearing that acrobat has arrived!
