Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

Thinking of you dear waves x

goneHaywire · 25/07/2013 11:10

Hi waves

I haven't been on MN for quite a long time but poped back to see if acrobat had arrived. Glad he's nearly here. Grin

I'm confused, last time i checked your lodgers were fantastic. What happened?

MrsPennyapple · 25/07/2013 11:15

Hi Waves, just want to add a bit of support, will be thinking of you today, hope the hospital can do something to help you along. I reckon today's the day! xx

Lodgers can change in the blink of an eye Haywire . This one certainly did. anyway, the little shit is history, thank goodness. Waves kicked ass Smile

HOpe you're on some ward somewhere waves being monitored and given fluids - perhaps the headache has a lot to do with that, but good to be on the safe side.

thinking of you, sending you the good stuff Flowers Crown Flowers

Delurking after following your brave journey for a few months. You are amazing and I hope that acrobat is finally going to arrive and give your poor body some respite.
Thinking of you!

MissStrawberry · 25/07/2013 12:34

What a lovely, and insightful, DS!!

oldwomaninashoe · 25/07/2013 12:59

Best wishes and love winging its way to you, hoping you have a happy and sucessful delivery soon xx

TattiePants · 25/07/2013 13:06

Have just read all 3 threads (100+ pages!) - in the nick of time. You are an amazing woman and clearly a fab mother. Despite the crap year you have had you have remained so strong and you will get your reward very soon (hopefully today). I had 40 weeks of sickness (although not HG) and the relief after giving birth was immediate. Just focus on that and having first cuddles with your little Acrobat. Thinking of you.

wavesandsmiles · 25/07/2013 13:12

Quick update

Codeine is marvellous.

I am not now thought to be in early labour (different midwife, different diagnosis?) but there are concerns re my kidneys so I think I am being sent for a renal scan. Just waiting for on call obstetrician. I'm a mystery case apparently, high protein in my wee, but nothing else to suggest infection, high pulse, low blood pressure Confused

Acrobat is having a merry old time though and has got himself reshuffled completely twice since I arrived here.

I wish I knew what was actually going on...

It's my lovely Mum's birthday today. Good people are born today, go Waves!

MissStrawberry · 25/07/2013 13:15

I hope you find out what is happening soon.

RuckAndRoll · 25/07/2013 13:17

Waves, sending a big hug. Really hope your little acrobat will be here soon, such a lucky boy to be joining an amazing mummy and big brother and sister x

MinnieBar · 25/07/2013 13:20

Codeine is indeed marvellous - it's the only thing that works on my (very occasional) migraines, but I can only take it in the evenings as it makes me rather fuzzy-headed.

Hope you get some kind of answer soon.

CurlyFox · 25/07/2013 13:29

All the best waves hope they find out what's going on sure Acrobat will be on his way soon

springytoto · 25/07/2013 13:47

Are they suggesting you're not in labour at all then?

Waves , you're in the right place - thank goodness. So glad to hear you're in there and they're doing their thing. Big Sigh Of Relief Smile

Try to rest now. I suppose you don't have much choice - they won't let you get up and start building your extension Wink - but let go and them do their thing. I know that's hard, but try? (I always like to think of Marlon on the whales tongue and Dory calling 'just let goooo'. Finding Nemo . Try to be Dory Grin )

shiningcadence · 25/07/2013 13:54

I know it's a cliche waves but you are in the best place. I'm really glad that you're there and that they're checking you over. Good luck x x

auntpetunia · 25/07/2013 14:04

Hope all goes well Acrobat really is putting you through it isn't he? He better come soon ancient be the best behaved baby in the history of babies. I'm sure he will. Good luck x

dramajustfollowsme · 25/07/2013 14:20

You are really being put through the mill.
I actually started typing you a message at 3am but must have fallen asleep as woke with the phone on my face. Blush
I was induced after my waters broke and a two-week stop-start of contractions. Dd arrived very soon after and all that became a distant memory.
Thinking about you. Thanks

auntpetunia · 25/07/2013 14:32

....aghh ancient!! Should just be and..stooopid autocorrect x

Jux · 25/07/2013 14:41

Oh Waves, you really are going through the wars, aren't you? You are in e right place, and I hope they work out quickly what is going on and fix it. Will be thinking of you. (have been thinking of you constantly and checking in on you for the last two days, but the phone/pad keep eating my posts! Hope this one works....)

wavesandsmiles · 25/07/2013 15:41

The confusion never ends. On call obstetrician says its definitely latent stage labour and wants me to hang round for a few hours more. Kidneys still a mystery. However, they are about to give me more codeine.

Acrobat is being super wriggly and looks very comfy inside me, so may have decided he is in no hurry to come out. Trouble is the effect on me.

OP posts:
nemno · 25/07/2013 15:48

It must be very frustrating Waves. I am glad the codeine is helping. Take all the help you need. You've been so brave through everything.

Best wishes
