Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

What book are you reading under the gnarled oak tree? Is it sunny?

nemno · 24/07/2013 19:40

I think I know where the tree might be. Yes, lovely spot. I am imagining you there. And wishing you so many good things xx

vole3 · 24/07/2013 20:00

In like a banana, out like a pineapple is what I remember.
It made me laugh and took my mind off things.

Have you got any comedy DVD's to distract you? Having Mrs Doyle say 'g'wan, g'wan, g'wan' might encourage Acrobat to turn.......

themidwife · 24/07/2013 21:16

We're all here mentally rubbing your back & sending so many positive strokes. He's a shit head. I believe in karma & I know you'll rise like a Phoenix with your beautiful baby Thanks

TiredFeet · 24/07/2013 21:27

thinking of you lots Waves , not long now and you will be having lovely delicious newborn cuddles with little acrobat

MrBloomsMarrow · 24/07/2013 21:58

Another one shaking Pom poms and offering virtual back massage. Come on acrobat, your mummy's tired.

pinkbraces · 24/07/2013 22:02

Your doing brilliantly, not long now and your gorgeous acrobat will be here. Sending big hugs and good vibes, you can do it.

Lovethesea · 24/07/2013 22:13

refresh refresh refresh

WingDefence · 24/07/2013 22:18

Thinking of you waves and wishing you waves of cool air keeping you fresh as you labour x

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 24/07/2013 22:21

Ive been out all afternoon and evening and the first thing I did after getting DD to bed - was check to see how you are. I just said to DH, hang on a minute, got to check for a baby arrival. Im sure he thinks Im nuts and I was going on about Prince George, Alexander, Louis... Grin

Waves - I think I remember that tree from when I was there when I was younger. It is one of my lovely places that I go to in my minds eye, not the tree, or the Abbey, but the street that I walked along and those Tudor beams. Its bizarre how the mind works.

Sending lots of soothing vibes, hoping baby turns to an easier birthing position soon and pops out to say hello. Flowers hot bath Brew

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 22:35

Just lying super still in bed, breathing, trying to relax and imagine the back rubs. So tired! Burst into tears when my lodger popped his head in. Well, actually I was already in tears when he opened the door and I couldn't stop.

What with the HG and now this back to back business I feel like a walking advert for contraception.

Hoping for some mre rest to give me energy for the final stages of all this.

Hi Waves, hope you are ok.
Just a quick note to tell you I think you are very brave and strong and that I hope everything goes well with the birth of acrobat.
Sending you love and good vibes, hoping everything runs smoothly. :)

BerylStreep · 24/07/2013 22:55

Thinking of you Waves. Not long now.

(Hugs)

bunchamunchycrunchycarrots · 24/07/2013 23:00

Sending you some virtual back rubs waves, keeping everything crossed that things move quickly and you'll have that lovely little boy in your arms very soon. You are amazing and strong, and you'll get through this with the whole of MN behind you.

(((((Hugs 'n' back rubs)))))

tightfortime · 24/07/2013 23:03

Am holding my breath every time I check in...

Well done you, do whatever feels right and follow your body

I know we all are Grin

Not long now, you are BRILLIANT!

Orianne · 24/07/2013 23:10

Yes, Mrs DeVere is right as always there are so many people thinking of you and cheering you on

Hugs x

Bogeyface · 24/07/2013 23:17

Have you tried being on your knees, resting on your lower arms, so your head is below your pelvis? This can help to relieve the pressure on your back and also encourages the baby to slip round so it is front to back.

Hope you get some relief soon xx

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 24/07/2013 23:24

You've come so far waves now your new baby is nearly with you, I am full of admiration for how you kept going and looking after two DCs as well, Superwoman.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 25/07/2013 00:17

Oh you poor lovely. When you said about the sensation in your legs, I wondered about back to back. This pregnancy is going to give you a hard time till the very end, it seems like - you'd better be the most mellow, sleeping, smiley little baby boy in the WORLD to make this up to your mum, Acrobat!

I'm here all night if you need company, Waves, it's 9am where I am.

Thumbwitch · 25/07/2013 00:34

So sorry you're suffering so much, Waves and of course it's ok to mourn the loss of what should have been (although if DH had tried to even touch me when I was in labour I'd have hit him!)
Hope your doula is back with you soon and stays with you now - I have an odd feeling that things might kick off around 2am, which will be 11am here. I will be at playgroup then but will be back by 12noon, so maybe this will all be over then and your snuffly baby will be out! Fingers crossed for you, lovely. xx

springytoto · 25/07/2013 01:29

thinking of you intensely dear waves (sorry to be intense about it). Is it still hot there? (it's cooled down considerably here). Could you get your blankets to remind you of all the love focused on you? I am a great believer that emotions are transferred to cloth/fabric. yy that's a bit woo but tbh bog standard doesn't necessarily work in life - as I think many of us have seen - so a bit of woo is not necessarily as nutty as it may sometimes appear. There's a lot of love in them blankets, I'm certain of it.

Turn around, turn around, Acrobat - be a good chap Wink Will you talk to the unit tonight? They may be able to suggest things to help. Plus a rl voice helps a lot.

Lots of love dear waves xoxoxoxo

minkembernard · 25/07/2013 01:33

difficult pregnancy, hard labour...here is hoping that means acrobat will be a wee angelSmile

if anyone deserves a rest it is both of you.
all the best waves and you acrobat.

themidwife · 25/07/2013 07:16

Osteopathy is great for turning back to back babies. The amazing osteopath I know puts her fingers right under your pelvis & manipulates things & the babies turn. Magic! Do you know anyone? Hope you're alright & coping Waves. You have so many people thinking of you right now. We all care alot.

thekitchenfairy · 25/07/2013 07:19

Just checking in lovely Waves.

It's a beautiful morning here in Cornwall, the rain has refreshed our parched land and the scent of strawberries hangs heavy in the garden. The sky is blue, the sea is bluer. What a beautiful day to be born!

Hope you are resting under that shady tree and tht minxy acrobat has turned! Sending love and strength xx
