Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

Can feel the intake of breath as waves' followers check in and then catch up!!

Go waves! Am glad doula is such a help; don't ever feel a bother or nuisance think of your comfort and Acrobat's safety and vice versa.

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 15:51

Waves, carry on with life as you want too and just take any chance where you feel okay to plan to that if it all goes 0-100 you can just get your bags and go.

Songbird · 24/07/2013 16:39

Oh my goodness! I posted on some of your older threads and have lurked on this one, but not for a while. I thought I'd 'check in' and I can't believe it's happening! Come on Little Acrobat you can do it!

Waves, you're a hero Flowers. Less said about twunt the better. Good decision, re. his being at the birth.

Sending happy thoughts your way.....

Thumbwitch · 24/07/2013 16:47

Pleased to hear it Waves - I suspect you might be otherwise occupied by tonight anyway! Grin

FoofFighter · 24/07/2013 16:58

rest up as much as you can, in between bouts of scrubbing the floors on all fours, highly recommend it for turning a back to back!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 24/07/2013 17:07

Super energy giving Brew for you waves, sending positive, calming vibes your way.

Fingers crossed he turns for you, are your DC excited that they're going to be meeting their little brother quite soon?

themidwife · 24/07/2013 17:43

Good luck sweetie - do the crawling & "belly dancing" as much as you can & the baby should rotate. Fingers crossed he turns! My 4th DD was direct OP (back to back) until 2nd stage when she corkscrewed out in the back of an ambulance. It hurt. Shock

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 17:45

This is so so painful! Curled up in bed at the moment, DD next to me. Might try another warm bath soon. Conscious that I need to get some sleep, but so hard to get to sleep when the pain is like this.

Making me feel so lonely and sad that I don't have a DH to be helping with DCs or helping me with back rubs etc. desperately trying to re box up and rebury these negative thoughts but it is so hard. My doula is gone, but free again after 9. So I may ask her to call back in after that

Tell us about the tree at the minster, Waves. What kind of tree is it?

threefeethighandrising · 24/07/2013 18:07

Oh Waves I'm sorry you're in pain.

It will help lessen the pain slightly if you can to focus on something other than the pain rather than the pain itself (easier said than done I know!)

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 18:17

Is there anything at all we can help with?

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 18:20

I'm hopeless at knowing what trees are called. It's beautiful, possibly an oak on account of the leaf colour and gnarly branches and roots. I can sit between the roots my back against the trunk, reading my book very comfortably. And the leaves and branches give some shade from the sun.

Might get back in the bath.

Just knowing people are sort of here helps MissStrawberry. Not quite the same as a real life presence, crikey I could do with a back and leg rub. Bath the best option for now I suppose .

Oak trees have sort of wavy edged leaves. And sometimes acorns in the autumn. Sycamores have 5 points in a hand on their leaves. Horse Chestnuts have a big hand of leaves in a fan - roundish ends but with a slight point. Weeping willows have thin green leaves, pointed, often on yellowish branches.

SuffragetteCity · 24/07/2013 18:34

Thinking of you Waves! I hope you don't have to suffer through the pain too much longer, but I think it would be fab if Acrobat were born after midnight! My dad's birthday is the 25th and he's truly wonderful, as undoubtedly, Acrobat will be!

threefeethighandrising · 24/07/2013 18:55

Oak leaves look like this

Kikibee · 24/07/2013 19:04

I have only recently joined mn, what a time you have had, I am hoping that you have a relatively easy birth, and look forward to reading all about it :)

You are amazing waves and a fabulous role model for your DC.

Allalonenow · 24/07/2013 19:20

Ah they are lovely photos threefeet they've cheered me up too!

Are you well enough to take a virtual walk around York with Google Map's little yellow man, waves? Your DD might like to see some places you love.

Take heart dear waves, you will soon be holding your beautiful baby.

eagerbeagle · 24/07/2013 19:28
