Will this become the live birth thread? Will Lodger 1 leave? Will waves be smiling throughout this thread?

Doula is on call, bags are packed, acrobat was a teeny 14 weeks foetus when I started posting - he is about to become DC3, I'll stop being sick and a whole new chapter will begin.

Flowers Good luck Waves!

PyroclasticFlo · 24/07/2013 10:28

Good luck Waves, am thinking of you and sending magic and blessings and positive vibes.

Keep breathing and trust in the universe, you have so much love surrounding you.

I had both of my DSs very quickly and with no time for pain relief - like you I had a special place to 'go to' in my mind, and it really did help.

Go to your tree in York, breathe deeply and let your beautiful Acrobat arrive safely.

Huge, huge hugs and Flowers xxx

themilkmonster · 24/07/2013 10:50

Good luck waves x

DPotter · 24/07/2013 11:01

McButtonwillow · 24/07/2013 11:25

WingDefence · 24/07/2013 11:44

Keep going waves - trust your body to do its job xx

liquidstate · 24/07/2013 11:50

I am a newbie but have been lurking for months and have followed your story. I just want to wish you well and to say you are such an inspiration. Your DCs are very very lucky to have such a wonderful mummy!

Wishing you and the acrobat all the best. I lived in York for 5 years and so I can easily picture your special place, its beautiful.

FoofFighter · 24/07/2013 12:00

So excited for you Waves :D

GoodtoBetter · 24/07/2013 12:31

Don't be scared, waves. You can do it. Nearly there, you'll meet your little boy soon. xx

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 24/07/2013 13:07

Waves I'm so excited for you! Baby boy on his way!

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 13:26

Still thinking of you Waves.

Hope all is going well.

Just got home, I'm definitely in early labour but the little monkey has gone back to back which is why it hurts so much! Various concerns because my pulse was so high and there is protein in my wee, but apparently that's normal in labour. Just figured I'd rather spend these painful hours at home with my gorgeous DCs enjoying our last time together just the 3 of us. Plus I can crawl around my garden and have plenty of warm baths here. Spent an hour on the ctg and no concerns re acrobat. My doula is being lovely, and was a very nice midwife looking after me up there.

Just got to accept I am in a sort of no mans land between pregnancy and active labour and keep on managing the pain as best I can.

Yes, much better off at home for as long as you can.
Glad you are feeling happier/less scared.
Iirc back to back labours are notorious for being painful, but you hAve great help and we are all here virtually holding your hands and doing the breathing with you :)

AndMiffyWentToSleep · 24/07/2013 13:50

Ooh Waves, you can do it!
Sorry about the back to back but glad you're back home for now.
Thinking of you!

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 13:51

Definitely stay at home as long as you can. You have more things to distract you there.

JaxTellerIsAllMine · 24/07/2013 14:04

Waves glad you got checked out. Lots of deep warm baths really helped me. And a tens machine. Then gas & air. Before I knew it I was 9 cms.

Still with you. EnvyThanks

Undertone · 24/07/2013 14:04

Coping with strength and clarity, as always Waves Flowers

MinnieBar · 24/07/2013 14:29

Oooh, DS was back-to-back (I think - I remember them muttering something about him turning during labour, but they lost my notes) and it was indeed challenging. You have my sympathies!

But, early labour means you're getting there!!

LiveItUp · 24/07/2013 14:39

Glad he's on the way, albeit back-to-back and rather slowly. I'm relieved you got checked out though and are "in the system". Hope you get some relaxing time in at home - just keep that paddling pool topped up just in case things speed up suddenly. Grin

Mixxy · 24/07/2013 14:54

I swear to god, if you were to invent a more emotionally and bodily pregnancy and delivery than yours, it would be in a Philip Roth novel.

Be good to yourself, waves. C'mon Acrobat, don't waste time now. Time to meet your Mammy!

My delivery is now 3 hours later. Come on Acrobat! Start off the deliveries coming Grin.

MissStrawberry · 24/07/2013 15:04

late, not later.

Was due yesterday then today before 12.

wavesandsmiles · 24/07/2013 15:16

I should say, you may all breathe a collective sigh of relief as I have been sensible and cancelled tonight's gig. I have had a warm bath and am now attempting a snooze in the garden, try and get some energy as only managed 2 40 minute naps overnight.
