Local cricket club ... I was coerced into going to a party there with a friend who fancied a guy that has invited her. I didn't want to go ... I hate cricket ... but I went for her and there was my DH ....
Loads of snogs later I wrote my number on a 10 pound note (his not mine Grin) and he kept it and rang me a few days later ... Smile

drink invloved here too. Was at a party and met this quiet bloke but I was a bit more boisterous. Got daggers next day from his gf's bf but a year later we were together and the rest is history and that is a couple of decads ago with a year or two to be added on.

chipmonkey · 02/06/2006 01:00

Going down the stairs in college started talking to this guy with big teeth. At the bottom of the stairs continued the conversation with Big Teeth but wondered about the good-looking bloke with him who didn't say a word. Am with the quiet bloke nowGrin

She was my boss, marrying her was easier than filing for sexual harrassment Wink.

CountessDracula · 02/06/2006 08:51

In a flat in Shepherd's Bush in 1989 the first time - I was round at my old mate (and first boyfriend)'s flat watching some footie and he was his flatmate/best mate from uni who I had never met.

He came in from work, said hello then totally ignored me and started watching the footie (plus ca change!)

I rather fancied him but had a bf at the time. Met up with him again at a party the following Jan and that was that...

BettySpaghetti · 02/06/2006 09:18

We met at a friends BarBQ party.

Despite having been at the same uni beforehand and having lots of mutual friends we'd never properly met or spoken until then.

On the internet. Am beginning to regret it now 8 yrs down the line!!

JessaJam · 02/06/2006 10:07

At school...I would gaze longingly at the back of his head in Maths and Geography ...oddly it took him a while to notice me!! Months of lurking in corridors waiting for his lesson to finish so I could catch a glimpse and then I finally struck up a conversation...been together ever since...12 years...married for 3...
