I agree Snape, I'm hoping the the current mobility limitations means that he remains out of the grasp of the competition we can take our time to get to know one another and build up a good basis for the future.

That age thing is true sadly. There is a graphic on OKC that shows what ages men are attracted to and as they get older, the women they search for gets younger.

There is also another graphic showing what men consider attractive. I am officially not very attractive or some such, based purely on the perception of my age which drags my score right down. In practice they wouldn't actually see me as I would have been excluded from their searches. Huge mistake, I can be stunning when I scrub up. It does serve as a handy Sid the Sexist twat excluder though.

Bant I think to insist on women younger than you but have a large range otherwsie does make someone look like a bit of a dick I'm afraid. You can't say as a 40 year old that you're actively open to a 26 year old but would rule out a woman your own age.

That may be the theoretical perfect fit, but do you honestly know many people in your circle that it's true for? Most of the women I know want to date men their own age or a few years older. I have only had one late 20s friend who would look at the 40 year olds. Even the golddiggers haven't gone more than a couple of years older.

I wonder who comes up with these OKC graphics..lets not forget the over arching purpose of these sites is to make a profit, so they will do whatever is most effective to get the members to keep renewing their subscriptions

okc was started by maths guys who created the algorithims for the matching based on the compatibility of the question answers. Even sader, the graphics are also based on the patterns of searches etc on the site. In my experience too, same profile, same questions real age - almost nothing. Drop it to 50, some. Drop to 48, almost normal service

Juliette, OK but the behavior of people on the site is constrained by the parameters of the site..so it's all a bit circular.

Lets not forget that on all these free sites (eg FB) the members are the products, people are harvested and directed so as to make the site profitable.

I've decided to give it another go with oil rigger. He really is such a sweet man. He was wearing the craziest trainers I've ever seen though, they looked like a bizarre Ed Hardy kind of thing. I asked him about them and he said his 16 year old son outgrew all his shoes and gave them to him, lol. When I texted him that I do want to see him again, but I'd like to move slowly and get to know each other he said "it's the shoes, isn't it. I'll throw them out!". I said no, actually his shoes didn't bother me It actually made me think he's quite secure in himself and has a sense of humor.

Anyway, going to go out with him again, but still keep dating. I started making another POF profile for women, we'll see how that goes.

I think we have all had the ginge convo before and all kinda agreed that ginge rocked. To that end I have found a long haired ginge on POF and much to OWW's distaste he has a huuuuuuuuge long straggly beard. He has messaged me directly so is likely to be this month's choice of eccentric. Heartily recommend the film though.
