jynier · 05/05/2013 02:33

kitty - So sorry, keep X-posting! What's wrong with our littlekitty?

cafecito · 05/05/2013 02:34

yes what did you do?

kitty, when I was about 18 I live in a place in west London with excellent Jamaicans food-- had Guinness milkshakes rather a lot

cafecito · 05/05/2013 02:35

Guinness punch I mean ...

cafecito · 05/05/2013 02:36

whips out paediatric stethoscope... how are you kitty, are you feeling icky? just very tired?

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 05/05/2013 02:53

I've got a scratchy throat and sneezy snuffles and tiredness. But you know what it's like as a mama, can't give in to it. Grin Littlekitty has a raspy cough and 'snots landing' but is pretty cheerful

Ah, guineapig Grin I used to love Guinness, it was my drink of choice from 16 to recently. 'A sandwich in a glass'

Isn't Guinness good for pregnant women? Can you write me a script, cafe?

I'd better go as we are co-sleeping here (I'm the co, she's the sleeping Hmm ) and she's gone off. Although she's just done her trademark duck noise in her sleep Grin

jynier · 05/05/2013 02:53

Oh, you're so nosey! Mainly, I worked for solicitors when I was young but took on several different jobs over the years (left my grammar school at 15 - no qualifications as had been repeatedly raped by a family friend and it changed my whole life! Never told anyone. Am now so very interested in all the stories about the BBC paedophiles). Became a very over-protective mother!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 05/05/2013 03:02

What the crap?! Sad Sad Sad

jynier I'm so sorry. Sad

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 05/05/2013 03:03

Shes awake again Confused

jynier · 05/05/2013 03:28

It was very common for young girls to be sexually abused; my mother was a very devout (and innocent) young Irish Catholic. Can remember my uncles asking me to sit on their laps in full view of my ma and putting their fingers (surreptitiously) inside my knickers; never had any idea what was going on!

All was so different with my own 3 children - I guarded them with my life!

I was in a home run by nuns when I was 7; apart from one or two, they were the most evil and sadistic people on this earth. I have recently been contacted by a woman who wants us to tell our stories. Don't think that I can be bothered, really, as prefer to shove the memories to the back of my mind.

It is sad as I was robbed of the chance of higher education and university but my own children succeeded in their education. Told them last year about the rapes.

ColinCaterpillar · 05/05/2013 04:07

Posted on theEA thread but I'm awake too...

Just woke up all breathless and feel sad. Dreamed ex texted his standard 'get here NOW' and that I jumped in a cab running away from him. Then I dreamed I was having a drink with him. Then I dreamed I had an 'I love you xxxx' text. I really miss him right now. Can't believe how he can just switch off, yet I can't despite how badly he has treat me.

jynier · 05/05/2013 04:27

Hi! CC - So very, very sorry that you're having a bad night! You and I are in the same boat; I love my X and he doesn't give a toss about me! Try and get some sleep; maybe it would help to have a milky drink??? (Have no idea why I just said that as I am troubled by vivid dreams and nightmares - was trying to be helpful!!!). Good luck!

ColinCaterpillar · 05/05/2013 04:32

Thanks, I'm just sitting it out for now. He's replaced me and I'm so sad. It's only been a week.

ColinCaterpillar · 05/05/2013 04:32

Sorry you are going through the same as well. Truly sucks.

jynier · 05/05/2013 04:44

CC - Often feel that we should be able to swipe an unlove button through our brains!

2anddone · 05/05/2013 07:01

Hi all thanks for being so welcoming and supportive. Couldn't sleep again last night so decided to crack on with some college work am 2000 words down 8000 to go :).
Not loving the idea of today h coming to get the rest of his stuff while I take dc out. They are 4 and 7 and coping as well as can be expected with the crap he has put us through. Dd wakes 3 times a night screaming his name. I think if she was old enough to spell she would join us at night!

Minimammoth · 05/05/2013 11:38

That's basically what it's about. Good movie actually Smile

themidwife · 05/05/2013 17:33

I second Eternal Sunshine (have it on DVD) for a good blart fest. In fact last year when DH & I separated I watched it & also wished I could take that pill & have my brain bleached. I have sometimes repeated that wish!

Hugs to all of you suffering at the moment. Jynier I'm so sorry. ThanksThanks
