Thank Mrs, that sounds really positive. Grin I think the idea of a summer bash is a lovely one but doesn't the other child get upset if two children have 2 birthdays and one only has 1? How do you manage that? mind you, littlekitty is November so we could do it for both, I suppose. Also kittycity is beautiful at Christmas; very twinkly and quite known for it. Grin

I'm sorry I wasn't around earlier this week when smallMrs had his upsetty meltdown. Sad How is he now? Poor lamb, it must have been so unsettling for him. Nor to mention heartbreaking for you.

dad, sorry, I fell asleep. Blush

mini and Harriet, I don't think I told you that your healing vibes sorted me out yesterday Grin Actually, it seems what cured me was the coffee I had Blush I realised that I hadn't had a coffee for about 5 days; I had one and my aches went. Isn't that dreadful? Confused

themidwife and cafe, thank you for your pre-eclampsia insight. That is definitely great news that it might not re-occur Grin What I'm mostly worried about is that I was kept in for 11 days Sad. I couldn't possibly be away from littlekitty for that long, it would break me Sad

Themidwife, I will admit I'm scared of having a homebirth Blush Any chance I could pilfer you from the hippy hills? What about the delivery team, are we still all up for that?

bluey, I believe you just imparted some good news did you?Grin Thanks ExcellentWine Wine indeed.

A colonoscopy is horrid, you poor thing. So does that mean they are happy with the blip on the scan then, that it was something innocuous? What do you do for a living? How long have you been off? How do you feel about going back? Oh, so many questions Grin

My knees have been getting worse for years but the plantar fasciitis only kicked in over Xmas. No cure apart from strapping, icing, ibuprofen, I have custom orthotics & rest. As if!!
Trouble is when I become too immobile I get fatter & fatter which makes it worse! Sad

Kitty - had the same thoughts when dd's due date was also xmas eve . Luckily for her (and always being the impatient thing that she is) she wanted to get in here early and thought she was missing something Grin so turned up at 36+5. Thing is, it just adds to the excitement for them, and as we have said before we do a summer "thing" as well, so the bugger gets two goes - mainly because of the impossibility of parties in late Nov/early Dec.
BTW as you know, babies turn up precisely when they want to. So it may be xmas eve or you may go for a curry, a couple of miles jog, a pineapple and a shag Wink and dc2 appear a couple of weeks either way Grin
littlekitty is a bit young to be hugely perturbed by a one-off disruption to this year's proceedings and a new playmate is so much more fun anyway, at her age it is all about the boxes and paper innit Wink well more exciting than toys Grin and just think.....oooh two littlekitties Grin a xmas birthday just appears to add to the excitement ime. (and as you know, I am stupid enough to have two of em Wink ) save up all year lolGrin

Mornin all - welcome back in the nick of time Dad!

Yes Kitty unlikely to have pre eclampsia again this time so if your BP remains normal throughout pregnancy you could consider a home birth at the end.

Sounds like there was a lot of munching going on last night!

My knees & feet flared up something evil with the plantar fasciitis & arthritis after Zumba so now crippled. So frustrating because I love it too SadSad

Thanks SD, I now have "Push It" by Salt 'n' Pepa going round my brain! Are you related to the hemi goblins btw Grin?

Is there something in the air right now? This week seems to be a tough one all round - I'm ok but exhausted (like pregnancy "I am so tired I'm only getting off this sofa if you use a JCB" kind of tired), have had a follow up colonoscopy to check an unclear bit on my scan and been told there's no medical reason I can't be back at work on reduced hours. Apart from the very high risk that I will fall asleep in meetings, obviously. Big hugs and extra Wine / drink of choice all round.

DS did make me laugh though. He gets down from the tea table yesterday to go for a wee and comes back minus shorts and pants, and carrying only his shorts. When enquiries are made as to the location of the missing undergarments, he proudly announces that he has flushed them down the toilet. And he has done, too - at least, there was no sign of the pants. Better get DH ready with the drain rods!

Oh Harriet, I think I'm just passing through. Trying to see if a quack becomes something more substantial.

Has he registered with employment agencies to keep some pennies rolling in while he looks? Might you be able to move closer to your family in the search for work?

I'm so sorry, it must be such a worrySad
