oh stars sorry about littlestars and you exH - will she be with you in the summer? I had a similar situation for a while with my stepfather, not buying food, but I moved out when I was very young and dragged myself up hasn't done me any harm insomniac nutter thank goodness she has you as a rock.

kitty well, this year I do get a summer, a 2.5 month summer, yaaaay, but it's the last one I have as next year it's no more than 4 weeks, which goes rather fast [eeep] I've just heard a friend on another stream failed their exams and has to repeat the year happens a lot. getting scared.

won't be going to France no just hanging around London and environs, blew the Paris budget on last week's coffee intake Hmm Smile

cafecito · 28/04/2013 23:01

stars - Bs is good in separate sciences!! what a little sparkly star she is. ah I see she's in year 10, yeah it's important for her to stay put where she is for the moment, especially as she's doing so well.
physiotherapy and journalism are quite different, so she should probably just so what she enjoys and what shes good at, for the moment anyway. Its so hard making decisions about things like that when you're young. for her physics, Id really recommend 'charlieissocoollike' on youtube, he's really good.

cafecito · 28/04/2013 23:02

you're not powerless Thanks (()) just be solid and there for her

jynier · 28/04/2013 23:04

Hi, all! Internet has been rubbish most of the w/e; hope that you and your DCs are all ok now!

cafe is lying; my staff cleared up. Gardener found 2 sootikins - one in the maze and the other in the parterre.

Sent chauffeur to the pawnbroker yesterday; made quite a bit of cash from jewellery that was left behind (usually get a good haul after playing "Agadoo!" and "Hava Nagila") but didn't make much on the stethoscope!

Butler has used up a whole bottle of arnica!

cafecito · 28/04/2013 23:05

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 29/04/2013 12:59

Thanks Harriet, oh she's tearing round ok Grin. She never stopped doing that. Confused Her temp seems to be back to normal now. Thanks again for cool breezes. She's clambering to see the ducklings (she keeps standing by the door making a quacking noise)so a walk I think this afternoon.

Glad they are still doing Steinbeck in school-I love that book. I'd love to read her essay. Smile

Little Harriet monster is welcome to join us. I'm sure they will get on swimmingly... Grin

Sounds snug in your house Smile

She's sleeping too but keeps coughing. I'm resetting the house, ready for round 2 Grin

Minimammoth · 29/04/2013 14:40

Poor babies I hope they are ok. Have been to my gd's birthday party. She is 2. I had forgotten how much 2year old love balloons. Taking the Fluff to vets now.

Minimammoth · 29/04/2013 15:35

The Fluff has had thumbs up from the vet. Her abdomen swellings have gone down and he has reduced her meds. She still can't use one back leg but is managing to clomp around. So I feel happier.
Next door have just got a dog though, so that won't help her stress levels. Hope things sort out Stars, it is a lot for starlet to work out in her head. It always makes our hearts ache when we can't fix it, whatever age.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 29/04/2013 16:04

Starlet Grin. lovely

That fluffball is a fighter, eh? Good news. Smile

themidwife · 29/04/2013 17:06

Phew thank goodness fluffycat is doing well! Smile

Anyone any experience of intentional communities? Sounds bonkers probably but am tentatively thinking of joining one on a cooperative organic farm! Grin
