laters all

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 19:56

oww but someone always starts that first, don't they? We've nodded at each other in intimacies, we know what's going on here. I probably actually need to say it, but there's a wee bit of me that would like to hear it.

Bloody elves [shotgun]

SweetSeraphim · 05/04/2013 19:56

You're going out for dinner and he has eaten on the way over lubey? Oh dear. Best of luck, come back and tell us all about it. I know you won't put up with any shite, so I'm not worried about you Grin

Bant · 05/04/2013 19:57

Wow, sorry that was much more zen than I intended

Buffy is coming over. I'll get pizza and hand her the tissues for her nose and try not to breathe too much.

I really do like her quite a lot. She's leaving though. I have to keep that in the forefront of my mind, that this is just temporary for us both.

Ommm. As you were.

mercury7 · 05/04/2013 19:57

Lubey, sounds like he might be hoping to persuade you to skip the meal and go straight to 'dessert'?
I'd be fine with that cos sex is the last thing I feel like doing when I've just eaten....then again I am a martyr to my indigestion!

Bant · 05/04/2013 20:00

'i will see what POF throws up'?

Lovely image MsC

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 20:02

Genital touching! Happy endings!!!

[dies] that's too many scrabble tiles.

mercury7 · 05/04/2013 20:03

well you just cant beat sorting through the 'vomit' from pof Confused

MsCellophane · 05/04/2013 20:06

POF throws up more times than it hands you a nice, normal person :)

VelvetSpoon · 05/04/2013 20:08

No, I am an evil bitch (which probably explains why I do so spectacularly badly with men) I'm just good at hiding it most of the time :)

Tonight though isn't one of those times. May have to go and have a row on AIBU or something.

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 20:12

snape i love the idea of the build up of scrabble tiles! definitely go for it! In my limited experience, once the words are out, they are OUT THERE, so it doesn't really matter who says it first, we all know it's mutual, someone just needs to say it. .

My EA said it first, but it was in an argument, as in 'I fucking love you' soon stopped arguing after that ..........

VelvetSpoon · 05/04/2013 20:12

I've never met one normal person on POF! Perverts, fantasists, liars, married men claiming to be single, narcissists, and not forgetting about a thousand vanishers, but none that could remotely be described as normal.

Maybe they are all huddled together in other areas of the country, they're certainly not in my little corner of the SE!

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 20:25

Just wrapped up an I o e.

JulietteMontague · 05/04/2013 20:25

Same here Velvet. Unusually I'm chatting to a what could be a couple of good ones but I sense vanishing is a possibility. I have not actually got to the meeting stage with any of them, only the phone dates with the anaesthetist and we know how that went.

At least on okc most can string a sentence together.

I found saying the 'L' word first, stranglely liberating Smile I think you both know when it happens, don't you?

Good decision Scrazy

Lubey Fingers crossed you at least get fed and watered.

MrsC you do seem to keep getting it on with MrCM Grin

Where is Kin

WarmFuzzyFun · 05/04/2013 20:34

Hi All.

I've been snowed under with work issues, and as a result will need to look for a new job promptly. Sad

Have been trying to follow thread, and am thrilled with all the positive developments/dates etc.

I have some dates lined up, two 2nd/3rd dates. One of my fwb's 'the Labrador' is keen to see where we can take things, he is lovely, but...

Am feeling bit miserable/wobbly about work, radically changed shift patterns are not doable with 3 teenage children. Sad

Sorry this post is all about me

Scrazy · 05/04/2013 20:49

It's a while since anyone said the L word to me and me to anyone.

Mercury, sound promising, keep us posted.

WFF, do you really need POF? What's with the Labrador, do you like him enough to be official?

OhWesternWind · 05/04/2013 20:59

WFF sorry to hear work things aren't going well. Would it be worth talking to the union at all? It can have a huge effect when wirk's going badly, so do take care of yourself, get some time to relax and de-stress (with or without the Labrador)! I have a fondness for labs.

48howdidthathappen · 05/04/2013 21:00

OWW Anything but (lovely) Cakey Wink

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 21:03

WFF feel your Sad, its so hard to juggle work and kids, it feels like a lonely battle at times, not so much a balancing act and more like a wildy lurching juggling act.

WarmFuzzyFun · 05/04/2013 21:03

Scrazy,

I don't think anyone needs POF, but it can be fun, sometimes.

With the Labrador, I will go with the flow, see what happens and try and enjoy his enthusiasm.

Scrazy · 05/04/2013 21:04

Agree no 'lovely' anything until he has proved it.

WFF, hope work situation improves.

WarmFuzzyFun · 05/04/2013 21:09

Sorry, I am a slow poster tonight Blush

I am going to speak to union, as other people in same department are working more child friendly shifts. As a result the remaining shift are heavy on the child unfriendly hours.

Have applied for 3 jobs this evening, ones with regular hours, still community based.

I have hidden my profiles on (mis)Match and POF...

48howdidthathappen · 05/04/2013 21:12

Good luck with the job hunt WFF

Hopefully the union can help Smile

OhWesternWind · 05/04/2013 21:13

(It's all in brackets so not official). I'm fully expecting it all to be a bit of a wash-out on Sunday but a little bit of me is hoping it will go well. You never know!

On PoF I've got Deffo still messaging every day but not progressing, a nice engineer who's a bit older but who I quite like so far and who is keen but not offputtingly so, another engineer who messaged today and is a possibility, an odd bloke who's something to do with Englush Heritage and various assorted random hangers-on. My money's on an engineer if Cakey's not much cop. Not been on Match for a couple of days but I'll pick it up again next week.
