oooh and good luck Kin :o

OhWesternWind · 05/04/2013 18:19

Good luck to you too Lubey!

Scrazy · 05/04/2013 18:27

Good luck Lubey and Kin.

Look forward to hearing about the dates.

Game on for me for tomorrow, with new one, not ex.

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 18:30

Good luck Lubey, keep the sofa dwellers posted!

and good news OWW

and Scrzy wise move!

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 18:30

oops Scrazy that should say Smile

Scrazy · 05/04/2013 18:50

Yes, I am open to other possibilities, will have a look round when I'm out on a girls night out too. I will never make the mistake of seeing the ex as bf material again, even if I do decide to catch up.

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 18:58

Hopeful good lucks for lubey and kin :)

I've never really gone for a bad boy. Kids dad was lead singer/guitarist in a band and that turned my head a bit, he always liked a drink then turned into a massive alcoholic dabbled in non medicinal drugs, but nothing hard core... Wasn't really a massive twat until he fucked around on me. nameless is just lovely, laid back, no huge issues, goddamn sexy. Grin I'll never be into very complicated men. I think 'nice' goes a long way. It's sometimes used as an insult and to hint at dull. The middle ground is a very nice place.

So, nameless is back to his house. I've picked up DCs from the station and we've ordered pizza. I can't bring myself to change my sheets. Blush

I had to go to work on Tuesday last and when I was on the train had immense idea of fab, that I should have set out my scrabble board before I went out with 'love you' on it. Last night he said we should have set out my scrabble board on the kitchen table so we could leave each other messages. I'm seeing him on Tuesday. I'm thinking of sending him some scrabble tiles in the post ... 'I' 'O' 'Y' L' 'E' 'O' 'U' 'V'

Is that a bit twee? More importantly, is it a similarly-doomed-to-failure-notebook-kiss-of-death??!

VelvetSpoon · 05/04/2013 19:03

Good luck to everyone on dates tonight - Kin can't wait for the reveal of the painting!!

I don't do nice men- C is the closest to nice I think. But given what an evil bitch I can be, I don't think a nice man would put up with me. I never attract nice or intelligent men (with the possible exception of C) anyway.

Have had a complete arseache of a day at work, topped off by sharing a lift with twinkly man - who completely ignored me - and his girlfriend (clearing up the mystery of whether or not he's single...) She is far more mousy than I'd have expected - although thinner and younger than me.

MsCellophane · 05/04/2013 19:15

Loving all the dating that is happening on the dating thread again

Scrazy - right decision

Snape, not notebook like at all - you know nameless likes you lots, I'd say it's a natural progression

I have just got back from MrCM office, there was semi nakedness and he seemed ok. Not sure what he wants still but snogging is excellent and that will do for now

I go for nice every time, never had a boring one but never will be treated badly. All I need is an honest man who can speak about what he is thinking. I need someone that can communicate freely and MrCM has started to and hotbut is perfect at being open, such a shame he isn't for me relationship wise, he's lovely

Been chatting to a few other people, one has left today for a 10 day rugby tour and another lives in Spain but comes here for work, no idea when I will get to meet them.

And LennyKravitz did suggest meeting this weekend, might have to drop him a text and give him a nudge

Scrazy · 05/04/2013 19:17

Snape, personally I would leave the gesture of love until someone says it. It's a lovely idea but wait until there is an official declaration.

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 19:30

See there's a bit of a stand off scenario going on here. We talk about when we're old and still knocking about together... I really won't ever say it first. Ever. No.

Might send an 'u'

Leave a 'v' blutacked to his wall on Tuesday...

...progress similarly.

But I am wary of grand gestures...

OhWesternWind · 05/04/2013 19:34

Ooh MsC it's all getting very busy round your way! Is Mr CM still thinking of moving away? He did sound complicated from what you've said before, maybe not in a place to start something new. Is he not sure what he wants, or you, or both of you? Texting Lenny seems like a good plan.

Snape I don't know - maybe send one tile every day, then by the time you've sent all of them, one of you will have actually said it? I think you plural should actually say it face to face first.

JulietteMontague · 05/04/2013 19:35

Snape yes, I would absolutely. The chances are, he is there already. You know how he is with you you will know if he loves you (he so does). You are bursting, just be prepared if there is a gap or something before he says it or he has never mentioned that he never says I love you as a matter of principle or the elves have taken those words from his mind and he is not allowed to say them. Or something. Grin

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/04/2013 19:37

right I'm off... fashionably late. Women can be late for first dates and weddings right? Only five mins late so far

Velvet why on earth do you think you're an evil bitch Shock

will catch up later if i can... can't do phone updates so will try and sneak one later (presuming all is well and he's here)

No news is good news from me!

Snapespeare · 05/04/2013 19:39

oww but someone always starts that first, don't they? We've nodded at each other in intimacies, we know what's going on here. I probably actually need to say it, but there's a wee bit of me that would like to hear it.

Bloody elves [shotgun]

JulietteMontague · 05/04/2013 19:39

MsC what is happening with MrCM now, is he still stuck on the strickly snogging dial?

OP posts:
mercury7 · 05/04/2013 19:41

I just spoke to a (seemingly) very nice man on skype, he seemed very keen to meet, most importantly he made no attempt to masturbate at me :o
I said I should be free to do the 'coffee & chat' thing next week

JulietteMontague · 05/04/2013 19:44

Snape he is one of the good guys, all is as it should be. He already knows as do you and how you do it won't make any difference to you two as a couple because it's all sound.

Velvet just registered you being an evil bitch. Never seen any signs of that whatsoever Grin

OP posts:
lubeybooby · 05/04/2013 19:52

ok... coat on about to go out the door and my twat radar has JUST gone off

he says he's not hungry as has eaten too much on the way over... wtf? he knows we are going to a restaurant??

I just replied 'don't know what to make of that'

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 19:52

mercury most importantly he made no attempt to masturbate at me my kids want to know what I am laughing at!! Grin

Velv evil bitch? never ....... this thread confirms you as a lovely, big softy!

sofa and wine for me tonight, Mr EA is with his DD tonight and tomorrow. I have my own Dc's and STBXH DD. In his ever controlling and abusive fashion he banned all contact between our DC's despite the fact they are now teenagers and first knew each other when they were 3 years old. luckily me and his ex wife agree that he is a complete abusive twunt and that the kids should remain in contact if that is what they want and therefore I have my stepdaughter for the night, feels nice but weird.

Bant · 05/04/2013 19:54

Buffy is. Om

lubeybooby · 05/04/2013 19:54

hmmm... he replied that he was preparing for me not to be there til half eight... but when he said he was arriving and definite time on the train I did tell him it was ok and I would hurry.

ok... going to meet him... said we'll have a drink first. Got my trainers on (metaphorically!)

SweetSeraphim · 05/04/2013 19:54

Snape I absolutely think you should do something like that. Don't be wary of the grand gesture, it's who you are... and I think he loves you too.

TigsytheTiger · 05/04/2013 19:54

hmmmm Lubey, why would you eat on the way to a restaurant and then announce you are not hungry - tightwad?!

MsCellophane · 05/04/2013 19:55

MrCM doesn't know what he wants or where he will end up. All he has said is out of his OD dating experience, I'm the one he likes and keeps wanting to come back to.

There was snogging and genital touching and happy endings this afternoon (tmi)

I'm good with casual, not good with not knowing if it was casual or dating - like it was before. I will keep it casual and not let him dither, I won't be contacting only answering. He knows I would consider dating, so up to him really.

In the meantime I will see what POF throws up

snape - I think the L will appear in the not so distant future, so no rush. He likes you, you like him - just enjoy it
