3 years before we got engaged but moved in together after 1 month. Sometimes you just know.

We both knew very quickly that we were utterly perfect for each other, and we were pretty much living together and seriously talking about forever within 2 months of meeting.

By the time we'd been together 6 months we had agreed between ourselves that we would definitely be stuck with each other for the rest of our lives and even quietly reserved the church for our chosen wedding date - but we didn't tell anyone about our wedding plans until DH produced a ring and 'officially' proposed on holiday, which was 10 months after our first meeting - and we married 8 months after that.

We were both slightly worried that our families/friends (many of whom had mega-long relationships/engagements - like 8-10 years before they ended in marriage) would think we were bonkers and rushing things or we might have just bombed off to Vegas after a couple of months Grin

My Dad proposed to my Mum after nine weeks :) His parents were so scandalised that Mum and Dad wanted a quick wedding, they made M&D wait a further 7 months before they got married to prove it wasn't 'for the wrong reasons' Grin

They had their 45th anniversary last week :)

Well I was 19 when I met my now Dh and he was 21. We moved in together after 10 months, engaged after 15 months and married after 5 years together. Been married over 10 years now.

I think that we both knew early on the it was right and we were going to get married.

7 weeks. When we told people several were surprised it had taken that long. Tbf, I knew I was going to marry him when we met so they had a point!

That was 16 years ago and we've been married 15 years in June.

My mum and dad were a bit surprised/skeptical at the time (and dad still mentions that we interrupted him watching London's Burning when we phoned them with the news!). I do remember mum saying to my Godmum in an exasperated tone "speak to her S!" and my Godmum saying "are you sure?!" And at that point I discovered my Godparents had met precisely 6 weeks before they got married Grin I mean, at least I'd known dh 6 weeks or so before our first date!

9 years before we got engaged, we got together when I was 15 and DH was 14.

My sisters DH proposed to her after 4 months of dating. She was young but just out of a complicated relationship, he is 18 years older and she was his first girlfriend.

My mum and dad made the biggest fuss until I found out from Gran they'd been engaged after 10 weeks of dating and were married within 6 months of meeting. They were 19 and I arrived 9 months after they married.

Depends what you mean by 'engaged' I suppose. if you mean when did we decide we would marry at some point, then, six weeks after meeting. If you mean doing the whole 'official' announcing engagement, buying a ring bit, well, we are still waiting to do that. But I guess that having been together for over 35 years and married for over 30 of them, kind of makes engagement somewhat redundant!

9 years. Met when I was 19.
Married 4 weeks after engagement will be married for 3 years next month with our first child on the way. This summer it will be 12 years since our first kiss and still love my DH very very much.
Am glad we didn't get married when we were that young.
