OP posts:
KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:31

Ahhh, I come from a long line of redheads and have been known to poke fun at my own dear long-suffering mother for her titian locks.

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:33

When I said ' and what's that about then ?' in a state of some shock, he told me that it's his 'fishing outfit '. He then sent me a photo of him driving, looking not unlike a young Norman Wisdom.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:35

I think the fluffy guy comes across as superior and sarcastic, not that anything in particular is dodgy, that's just the overall feel that I get

WarmFuzzyFun · 24/03/2013 17:35

Norman Wisdom, Phwoarhhhhh! Yeah, you gotta get a piece of that tasty bit of mancake Kin

WarmFuzzyFun · 24/03/2013 17:36

Merc it did make me laugh though.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:38

I must've been od-ing too long, no profiles make me laugh along with them mostly they make me cringe...I frequently laugh at them
I'm just horrid and too far goneBlush

WarmFuzzyFun · 24/03/2013 17:40

You've been too long at the coal face girl Grin

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:41

WFF oh he was nothing compared to the rest of them. Rather shamefacedly I have to admit that I didn't stop to think that having 'Miss' as part of my user name would act as a Perv Klaxon, one gentleman is still waiting for me to tell him how to entertain me and another jumped out of my office chair when I asked him if I'd given him permission to sit down.

I'm considering a new career.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:43

yesterday a bloke said in his message 'what brings you here'
I replied 'fibre optic cable and wifi'
I meant it in a friendly way but I also couldnt be bothered to humour him by taking his lame chat up line seriously.

he responded defensibly and accused me of sarcasm.

not that it matters, I mean I couldnt really give rats arse

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:47

Seriously Mercury ? I suppose that kind of response from him just highlights what a jerk he is and saves you a whole lot of wasted time, anyone worth his salt would've run with it.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:47

too long at the coal face?
well very probably WFF
but do I have a skewed view of OD, or is it that I can see through much of the bullshit, and the the truth aint pretty?

JulietteMontague · 24/03/2013 17:48

No chance at all, if he'd been even a little like his profile pic yes, but I wouldn't have recognized him if he hadn't come up to me. Shame, he was lovely. I've mailed both of them now to say no spark.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:49

totally agree Kin, I find people reveal themselves pretty quick and I didnt bother to reply after that

ike1 · 24/03/2013 17:50

Oh bum..Jules...!

WarmFuzzyFun · 24/03/2013 17:51

Merc I am pinching that! ('fibre optic cable and wifi')

Juliette, do some of the men stay friends? I have one male friend from POF who I think is just waiting for me to have a weak moment and pounce.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:52

doesnt it make you angry Juliette when they are nothing like the profile pic?
I usually feel quite cross when that happens and have the urge to bill them for my wasted time.

It matters not that the conversation might have been enjoyable (not that it ever is)
I was deceived into expecting a man that I might want to shag..he turned out not to be fit for purpose and now I want a bloody refund!! Angry

ike1 · 24/03/2013 17:53

Anyone for a glass of wine AND an orgasm this evening ladies...I have an offer on the table from a gent on my message board...any takers now????

ike1 · 24/03/2013 17:54

Merc....what about you? Sounds like you needs some relief there?

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:54

Yeah, I find the slightest hint of slagging off the ex, use of the terms 'lady' 'special lady' or 'tactile' has me running for the hills.

WarmFuzzyFun · 24/03/2013 17:55

I'll take the glass of wine thanks, but pass on the promise of an orgasm, as I've fulfilled my quota for month (allegedly Wink) and I believe that there is some European Orgasm Directive which limits me to having any more just at the moment. [cheers]

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:56

Sign me up, Ike, especially if he can slip an episode of The Antiques Roadshow into the bargain.

KinNora · 24/03/2013 17:57

Very pleased for you, WFF < clenches teeth >

VelvetSpoon · 24/03/2013 17:57

Western, hope you're ok. Still very much here for hand holding, wine pouring stuff.

Kin, Grin at Norman Wisdom - how can you restrain yourself?!

Juliette shame re the lack of spark...

Am having a little 'I was right' moment. There was someone I was interested in a some time back who I began to see was distinctly narcissistic and self-obsessed, and a complete attention seeker...anyway said man was always bleating on about not seeing enough of his kids, how precious his time with them was, how his Ex had basically moved a new man in and how hard it was seeing another man playing Dad to his beloved DC, blahblah...you can see where this is going probably: he now has a gf of a few weeks standing and is doing exactly the same thing with her!

Am viewing it as a lucky escape for me. Would rather be where I am with C (and all his issues) than in any sort of relationship with that idiot.

mercury7 · 24/03/2013 17:58

Thanks for the offer Ike, but I dont drink anymore and I find battery operated boyfriends a bit more reliable for the other thing:o

KinNora · 24/03/2013 18:03

Velvet it was tricky to keep myself under control, especially with my well known predilection for a man to gently intone ' Mister Grimmmmsssdale' in my ear at the point of orgasm but I managed it somehow.
